This movie was more action filled than the Da Vinci Code but I felt the movie lacked something I couldn't put my finger on. At over two hours, by the end I was glad for it to be over, honestly. A good movie but not one I would recommend as a "must see" in the theatres. Wait until it comes out on DVD.

This movie was only so-so for me. Loved Tom Hanks as always and the scenes of Italy/Vatican City were just awesome - especially knowing the difficulty they had shooting there. I didn't know that before I saw it, and it was not obvious to me that scenes were digital or re-creations. I enjoy the historical info... whether it's accurate or not. It's just interesting stuff to think about. The thing I didn't like was the way the plot is carried out (I didn’t read the book, so it was all new to me). Too predictable for my tastes... I won't say why as that would be a spoiler... but if you see movies and you go "oh... I'll bet this is the twist" and you're usually right... you won't have any trouble with this one. Still better than most though.

This movie is even better than the Da Vinci Code...Had I not already read the book, I would have been kept in suspense until the end with all the twists and turns. Be aware that there are some variations from the book (as usual). Highly recommend this movie!!!

After reading the novel, the movie was a bit of a let down. We still enjoyed it, but it was not clenching at your seat exciting. And, we feel that if you hadn't read the book, it would have been very confusing. I am a now and then Catholic and enjoyed learning and seeing more about the history of the Church and whatever may be fictionalized. It was still fun! In all, read the book, forego the movie!!

I thought the movie did a good job of following the book as well as one can when so much has to be edited. I would advise that one read the book first or I think quite a bit could be lost in the editing. Even though I knew the story, I was on the edge of my seat.

I have to admit, i wanted to see the movie, as i had seen Da Vinci Code...but as the other FICTIONAL story, the book did it more justice.
It was a good value, the action and acting was quite good-Ron Howard knows how to get the most from his actors, and i did come away with one thing~
I hope when we take our be-lated honeymoon in Italy next summer, there is an "Angels and Demons" tour to see the locations filmed.

The movie was pretty good. A bit too fast paced, bouncing from one of the 4 to the other. Not really enough time to assimilate what was going on before being bombarded with more action. I think the movie had one too many endings. I thought it had ended when the helicopter was heading into the sky.. higher and higher... but it wasn't over. I would have been quite content with that ending. Certainly much more action packed than the DaVinci Code.
So I think I prefer the DaVinci Code to Angels & Demons.

Great suspense movie if you haven't read the book. Acting seemed a bit stiff, especially from Hanks who I appreciate as an actor. Needed a bit more emotion, more time spent with the setup of execution of the cardinals to create suspense. All in all an okay movie.

I did not want to go see this movie, I did not like the title. I sat on the edge of my seat...excellent acting, great storyline, wonderful scenery and the end was amazing! Nice weekend escape. It was obvious Tom Hank's character was going to save the day, again. The movie moved along fast enough, perhaps too fast to fully establish all of the characters and to fully explore the central theme of the novel. Overall however, it was nice to sit back and watch one of our greatest actors of our time being directed by one of the greatest directors of our time. More could have been done, but I like it!

It's unusual for me to like a movie about a book that I read. This one was great. I was on the edge of my seat and they did a great job hitting all the key points. Tom Hanks was wonderful as always. I had a hard time focusing with Will Turner's dad as the head of the Swiss Guard (sorry, I just love pirates of the carribean) and Obewan as a priest... but they all did a great job.
