The acting was average. I was disappointed in Tom Hanks. There were some twists and turns, but much of it was predictable. The story had potential, but it was too long and just not that exciting. At times it was very far fetched and the dialogue was laughable.

I originally purchased the A&D book about 10 years ago and it had basically the same storyline and ending that is shown in the movie. I purchased a newer version of the book about a month ago and the new book had a different ending. Haven't a clue why the book was changed. But if you read the recent publication of the book, you'll go out of the theater thinking the movie wasn't true to the book...it was, but it was the original version. I heard many people comment on this when the movie was over. The best thing about this movie is that it is historically accurate, which makes it all that much more enjoyable.

If you liked Da Vinci Code, you must go to see this movie. If you did not like Da Vinci Code, you should go to see this movie. I am Catholic, and I think that the movie was very respectful with "my" Church. Anyway, it is not a movie just for Catholic ones. It is for everyone, a lot of action, explosion and suspense. I gave 4 star, not 5 star, just because one scene of the movie that I thought was SO UNREAL (the helicopter scene) - (by the way, there are a lot of unreal facts...) I like it anyway).

A should see movie because everyone will have something to say about it. As like other suspense thrillers, if you can get over the holes in the plot it is a cool ride. Acting isn't as important as the story, and is average for Tom Hanks.

In the Code, Langdon's part came off as a series of mini-lectures. In A&D, there was less lecture and better flow. I also didn't mind the departures from the book. Vetra's relationship with her older co-worker worked just as well in the time available for this 2.33 hour movie as making a bigger deal of it by making him her father as in the book. I'm glad the plot stayed away from what could have been an expected attaction between the cerebral Langdon and the beautiful physicist. The action and detail in many of the sets was impressive and will bear many viewings with a finger on the pause button when this comes out in DVD.

Good action movie, but lacking in character development. Too much deviatiation from the book - absence and change of several characters was disappointing, e.g. Vetra's co-worker was her father in the book, the Director of Cern didn't appear in the movie. Also, the demise of the Hassassin in the book should have been used in the movie ... much better. However, I didn’t miss Langdon's "parachute escape" from the helicopter before the explosion, as portrayed in the book. The major disappointment was the failure of the movie to develop the relationship that developed between Langdon and Vetra in the book. None the less, it was an exciting action movie, al biet not as good as the DiVinci Code.

I loved it. A great blend of science/religion (evalution/creation) and history/fiction (or is it really all fiction?) to create an interesting storyline. Ron Howard did a great job in presenting the film. Many twists, turns. Great acting, costumes, photography, music. Compared to DaVinci Code...well you have the same Tom Hanks character using his knowedge & wits to help solve the clues & the chasing around....but this is expected as in any series type movie like James Bond, Dirty Harry, Indiana Jones, etc. But the plot is very much different and stands alone in the event you have not seen the other. Angels & Demons......there is a litle of each in all of us and alot of each in our world, past & present.

This movie was wonderful and really made you think. They did a great job and I highly recommend this. The ending had a great twist...I though for sure I had it figured out, but no such luck. My husband also was surprised. Once we saw the end, we thought hmmm now that makes sense. We both liked they used the Hadron Collider in the film because it will raise some awareness and to just see how amazing this project is.
