THis movie was HORRIBLE!!!! It was absolutely nothing like the book! I went to the midnight showing of Angels and Demons because I was so excited to see it, and am thoroughly disappointed! The Da Vinci Code was great... very similiar to the book... but everything in Angels and Demons was made up, and switched around!! Why make a movie about a book if everything is going to be different? I am letting everyone know how bad of a job was done on this movie!!

thankfully...far better adaptation of a far better book...Hanks never made me feel like he was the Robert Langdon of the novel but none of the casting was great so u almost dont notice.

Having read the book a couple of years ago, I approached this movie with some trepidation...but what I saw on the screen was taut, well-crafted, and at times a breath-taking 140 minute thrill-ride! There are some differences, naturally--this IS Hollywood, of course. For example, the book was a prequel to daVinci Code, the movie is a sequel. For those of Scientific Bent, forget for a time what you know about atomic collisions and antimatter...this is pure escapist entertainment...and one I'll definitely be seeing again.

I was a huge fan of the book and I have to give Ron Hanks and Tom Hanks credit where credit is due. The effects were amazing and while I feel like they removed a few integral parts from the book, had I not read it prior the story line of the movie itself would not have bothered me. But the movie itself was wonderfully put together and I would definitely go and see it again. I cant wait for it to come out on DVD so that I can add it to my collection along with the Da Vinci Code.

I only could count four major discrepancies between the movie and the actual book. Overall, it was a well-thought out, suspenseful murder mystery. And for being a midnight showing it was well worth the lack of sleep.

i am such a huge nerd and have studied things like the vatican and their archives. i loved this movie and how it showed just that.. along with numerious churches and the city of rome.. it was amazing.. since i'd read the book i wasn't surprised by anything but it was still an awesome movie. i'm so glad a director like ron howard latched on to these movies.
