I haven't read the book, but the movie was still enjoyable for me. It was fast-paced, a little too much at the beginning I feel. Definitely a lot of surprises and plot twists! Just when you think you have it figured out, you're proven wrong. Engrossing enough that the time flies right by.

Fast-paced, good thriller. Faithful to the book, omitting only one (rather weak) part at the end of the book. Great cinema? No. Great writing (book)? No. But the book was a great page-turning mystery and the movie is just as good. Ignore the snobby reviews in the papers. It's entertainment, nothing pretentious about it. Just good summer fun.

The movie was quick paced and action packed from beginning to end. If you havent read the book you will enjoy this movie. If you have read the book, the movie takes quite a few liberties and leaves out quite a bit of depth. Overall it was better than Divinci Code and is worth the 2:20 it takes, it will fly by.

The movie was fast-paced and the shots were gorgeous. If I didn't know better, I would have thought it was in Rome. The cast did a good job, but the story was a huge departure from the book. Characters were added in or renamed, the way everyone interacted was totally different. If you haven't read the book, you will very likely enjoy this movie. If you have, the storyline is a pretty big disappointment.

I read the book several years ago. The book kept my attention to the end. The movie was faithful to the book and it too kept my attention, there was no lag time. This is a slick Hollywood portrayal of Brown's Angels and Demons. Fast paced, even with its 2:20 run time, the viewer not familiar with the book will enjoy this movie. Ron Howard has made a good Action/Thriller but it lacks the suspense of the Da Vinci Code. What I was hoping for was and illumination of the illuminati instead it was an action film with just a hint of illumination. Not a bad film but not as good as I was hoping for. Without some of the other superior actors that were in the Da Vinci Code Tom Hanks has to carry this film which he does. He does a rather good job but the other performances do not measure up to those in the Da Vinci Code.

If you are looking for an intelligent, suspenseful movie which will suspend reality for 2 1/2 hours, this is it. I have read all of Dan Brown's books and recognized some discrepancies, yet found myself on the edge of my seat. I read the book over 2 years ago, but the story followed it pretty well. Anyone who had read the book expected the blood and gore. The villian didn't seem as crazy as he was in the book, he was almost too calm and the movie left out his connection with "someone" in the church. The twists were handled well and I enjoyed it very, very much.

Excellent action flick. Movie script is well done so that action is much easier to follow for those who have not read the book than the Da Vinci Code was. Very entertaining. Just a shame that such a wonderful actor as Hanks got no chance to show us his acting chops in this picture. But, still, a very good movie for its entertainment value.

If I'd not seen the first movie I might have been confused by his expertise and how he knew what to look for. It would have been great if they'd rebuilt his character for newbies. I loved the DaVinci Code and this was good too and worth the ticket price. It tries to add a twist but I saw it coming so it wasn't a surprise. I still feel the story was strong and the cast was very good but it didn't have the excitement of the first film. I didn't read the book so I had to connect it too the first film. My only real critism is that its more of a chase movie than a movie of intrigue and mystery. I enjoyed it but I was not blown away even at the end.

Fun adventure flick, especially if you like Rome. A good diversion with a twist at the end. Best if you have not read the book.
