Vittoria and Tom Hanks were supposed to hook up in the end (according to the book) that would've been a better ending than the Pope dressing in Drag.
I'm not one of these "the-movie-should-be-just-like-the-book" types. I really loved the way the director depicted the antimatter faciltiy, I was hoping for that to be brought to life... so that was very interesting.
Overall I can't believe I waited this long to see the movie... this is the book that started the chain reaction for reading all the Dan brown novels.
Next Movie: DECEPTION POINT... go read this book, TODAY!! it's great.

Nothing too earth shattering here. Really nice CGI. All the vatican scenes looked very authentic. A few moments of unintended humor... like an unfortunate parachute landing. But I needed a good laugh by that point. Very manipulative. Howard's directing and Goldsman's script felt convenient at times, and lacking authenticity on an emotional level, in order to help sell an okay, rather cliched story.

This movie was great from beginning to end. No slow spots. A little gore, blood, twist, turns and surprise ending. Ron Howards work is outstanding and Tom Hanks is awesome. This is one we will see again !

I really enjoyed the movie. It has been some years since I read th book, but it inly changed one thing that I can think of and it actually made the story better. The scenes were breathtaking, and all the recreated Vatican scenes looked awesome!

While I love the book, I thought the movie a bit long and as another reviewer said, not much happened. One of the people I saw it with said the story was: "First we go here...we look around...then we go here...we look around...then we go here. The setting and photography of Rome is great and I think it outshines the story. If you haven't read the book, it may be more entertaining.

When I went to this movie I wasn't sure on what I was going to expect, because I haven't read the book. When I Left the theater I wasn't too impressed, it took a while to get started and when it did there wasn't a lot happening.

I was very pleased to see how well the film preserved all the parts I loved most about the book, while seemlessly trimming out the somewhat out-there ending. This movie was not what I expected. What I thought I would see was more DaVinci Code stuff. This was, but wasn't. Also, I love Tom Hanks so would have gone anyway. BUT this movie was a real thriller, full of nail-biting action and not an impossible story line. Will the good guys win and who exactly are the good guys?? The movie flows so that you follow the search - yes, there is a search - minute by minute. AND this time there is a deadline which promises disaster. But not to worry, there are plenty of twists and turns leading to - maybe?? - more and more twists, turns and solutions. See this one wherever you can.

Angels and Demons was really good. It had a great plot line, and I would recommend it to anyone who is into thriller movies and movies with a twist at the end of them. I would not recommend it for smaller children, some parts get intense. I walked out of the theater shaking, it was amazing.

There are two things that really bothered me about this movie. One is that they don't get really good shots of most of the art and architecture. That is what the book is all about. A few more shots or longer ones of the churches and sculptures would have been nice. Also, I don't mind the changes from the book, except that they removed the two main characters from any real harm or danger. In the book the woman is kidnapped by the assassin, Langdon winds up in the hospital. In the movie they aren't in any real danger and it lessens the drama and tension in the movie.

This was a fantastic movie. I watched the Davinci Code and thought it was good, but I thought this was was better. IMy husband has read the books and I haven't. so I thought they would be confusing, but they werent. Great movie and I would recommend it!!

This movie was a fun escape. Since I have been to Rome I enjoyed the setting. It is fun to see places in the movies that I have visited. Making a book into a movie always requires leaving out some detail. If you know that in advance and just enjoy the movie for what it is, you will enjoy Angels and Demons.

Tom Hanks seemed to force his performance and the plot was oh so predictable. the story line seemed to linger on and on. the clues were simple and hard to believe that they lasted hundreds of years without discovery. The movie was not too much away from the novel and didn't mess up the story. The acting was good; I do not care for Tom Hanks as this character (not who I saw in my head while reading) but this casting doesn't distract from an overall aceeptable movie. The one real complaint I have is that, at times, the riveting, driven score was so loud I missed the dialogue and couldn't even hear when I asked my husband what was said . Perhaps it was the theatre we were in...we will see when we buy it because the shots of Rome and the chuches which stood in for the Roman ones are magnificent.

Having read Angels & Demons, I was concerned that the movie would not live up to suspense of the book. I was pleasantly surprised and thought the screenwriters did a good job of translating this exciting story to screen. I would recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys an intelligent action movie.

This was an enjoyable but not great action movie. It runs unnecessarily long and a couple of movie goers actually fell asleep. Tom Hanks is a good actor but he is not really right for this part just as with the DeVinci code. It isn't as anti-Catholic as expected and as a movie worth seeing but don't pay full price. This is only worth a matinee ticket.

Very good movie. Lots of action and many twists in the plot. Kept me guessing.

I really enjoyed this movie. I read the book years ago and loved it and as others have said, they did a nice job sticking to the story. I was surprised that since it has been such a long time since I've read the book that I remembered how it ended in general and maybe that is why I didn't rate it a 5. I would definitely see the movie, it was well worth it, however, I probably would not see it a second time or say it was the best movie ever. But no regrets, it is very good and I'm glad I went to see it on one of the few nights I get away from the kids.
