Some readers may miss the introduction scenes with the details behind the physicists' experiments, but it worked well on the big screen to condense it and edit it a bit. I'm getting used to seeing Tom Hanks in this role. I believe the order of events in the movie is different than the book, but it still flowed well. Movie is pretty suspenseful but without a lot of action. Moves a lot quicker than The DaVinci Code but just as thought-provoking. All in all, good, entertaining movie.

I give the movie credit for being closer to the book than had been the "Da Vinci Code" movie, but I feel that the movie itself fell flat. The book did a much better job of building the suspense and the frantic desperation of the plot. I found myself becoming bored and impatient with the movie. There was no deliberation about the clues. Langdon just seemed to figure everything out like clockwork. The movie also lacked all the romantic tension between Langdon and Vittoria. It was like getting a cliffs notes synopsis of the book while leaving out all of the interesting details. However, I can't say it was badly done since it accomplished the task of telling the story in the book.

Great movie, well written. Tom Hanks played yet another great role that rivals the first movie. The movie did a wonderful job of not forshadowing the ending. There were many twists and turns in all the right places. There even was room for a sequel to this movie.

Tom Hanks just doesn't do it for me. I cannot see him is the Robert Langdon in the book. My fiancee had not read the book and said he knew who the villian was in the first 20 minutes. Good, but not what it could have been.

If you like the "National Treasure" series of movies with Nicholas Gage, then you'll enjoy this suspenseful movie. Tom Hanks is more credible as a character in this movie than he was in the DaVinci Code. Good entertaining movie.

When I watched the DaVinci Code, I had already read the book so I was extremely disappointed, but I really enjoyed watching Angels & Demons (I haven't read the book though). I would compare it to the National Treasure series perhaps a even more entertaining version with twists and turns along the way. It was very entertaining and after the first 15-20 minutes it was nonstop action so it went pretty fast, worth the money spent on it.

I thought this was a very good movie. I read the book a while back and it had been long enough that I had forgotten some of the plot points (which was good). I did not expect the movie to follow the book exactly so I was not disappointed when it veered, but the plot is easier to understand than DaVinci so to me that made it more enjoyable. A ticking time bomb, the rescue (or not ) of innocents, and a few twists till you find the bad guy (or girl). Great for a summer's eve. Too bad the theater didn't sell wine coolers !

I was quite disappointed in this movie.
As others have stated, the movie usally falls short of the book. But while I had high hopes that this adaptation would be as well done as the first, the many and far-reaching departures from the book's story were almost enough to ruin it completely.
I DID enjoy the movie. I thought it very sad, though, to see how much the story had been "watered down" so as to make the movie less controversial (to Catholics) and less complicated (to those who hadn't read the book - or who don't actually pay attention).
It didn't surprise me at all that Dan Brown wasn't given the screenplay credit.

Fans of the movie The DaVinci Code will enjoy this movie sequel. Those who've read the books will also find that the translation from print to celluloid was done well and I think will enjoy the movie as much as I have.

I haven't read the book but my companion had. I enjoyed the movie. I thought it was well made and it kept a good pace. The only place where it faltered was at the climax but I'll allow dramatic license for that. My companion pointed out the differences between the book and the movie afterwards, which heightened my appreciation of the screenwriting.

I was extremely anxious to see how well this movie would be adapted from the book. It is definitely well done and follows quite closely.
The use of creative camera angles, as well as top-quality special effects, highten the action and overall experience.
It is truly a must-see film!
