While I think the book readers will be disappointed in the total content of the movie, for a simple movie goer it was a thrill. Having the the location take place in authentic Rome will bring joy for anyone who has ever visited there before. The scenery truly added to the joy of the movie, and the cooperation of the Catholic church to allow filming in St. Peters made the whole thing incredibly pleasant.

I found the movie to be really good. They did an amazing job with casting and the effects were really cool. However, if you read the book, prepare to be a little disgruntled by how they do things. I just started reading it and am now about halfway through and already the distances were alarming. What I realized though is that you have to separate book from the movie. They are both equally entertaining if distinguished as two different things. Hopefully, the movie will make watchers that haven't read the book curious and want to read it.

Having read the book last year I didn't know what to expect because normally there is a lot missing from the movie that was in the book. You can't fit everything. The twist with the Preferiti was wonderful b/c that's what I wanted to happen when reading the book. And also the hired hitman, I LOVED that part. Wonderrful movie and different feel from the DaVinci Code but I'll get the DVD when it comes out. Interesting twists & turns all throughout.

The novel has a part who-done-it theme which never shows up in the movie, great actors but then screenplay is just not giving them much to do. So this is a thriller which never really thrills. But great shots of Vatican. I would say just wait for the DVD.

Excellent movie. The only thing I found difficult was that I recently reread the book with pictures of art and locations referenced and they were not major players within the movie. The movie keeps you on the edge of your seat and was different enough from the book to give you a new experience. As long as you arent looking for a recreation of the book you will love this movie.

Plot and dialogue was pretty good. Hanks has a few one liners in there that make you chuckle. But the highlight of the flick is all the visual elements. The book lends itself lends more to the visual side than the DaVinci Code. Love the art, ambigrams and the beauty of rome.
Do not leave the movie early! Some people at the theater when I saw it left and missed the ending which is a kind of surprise/twist.
Overall, I was generally very happy with the film and enjoyed it more than the DiVinci Code. It kept moving and some scenes had me on the edge of my seat. Ewan McGregor was incredible.

I was very disappointed. They(whomever wrote the screen play) killed the book. On the other hand, I felt sorry for the people that didn't read the book because they cut out so much of the background info. So my advice is to read the book and skip the movie.

A great cast of actors and a better pace than the first rescue this film. A scene towards the end of the movie would have killed the enjoyment in any other film, but Angels & Demons otherwise outstanding qualities keep a killer flaw from destroying the fun factor. I recommend just letting it flow over you and you'll walk out thinking that you've received your money's worth. McGregor, Skarsgard, and Favino are outstanding!

This movie is fun, fast-paced, and beautiful to watch because of where it takes place. The score is good, too. While it is a bit thin and superficial at times, as it develops it commands your attention and emotional involvement. While I won't give anything away, I was surprised by the final plot development. It's reasonably well-balanced, given the controversial nature of its subject--science vs. religion and their now compatible, now conflicted relationship. However, some things just don't add up. For example, a Harvard 'symbologist' who can't read Latin and translate Italian? Give me a break!

Enthralling! The plot is delicious and the acting superb. For those who are not AFRAID to seek truth about the history of Christianity, and the Catholic Church which started it all, once again it is confirmed that the beginnings of this religion was based on corruption, greed, politics and power. Although some of the movie is ficticious, there are real facts throughout to glean. It isn't enough to know the Church committed murder several times throughout history to maintain its control over the masses - it won't be enough until this fact is accepted by the masses. Whether one accepts this truth and continues belief is not important - what is important is that we are given the option based on historical facts and not merely illusion.

Excellent execution of Dan Brown's novel, with a few changes to make the movie a bit more realistic. Fast moving, suspenseful, and historical. Great detail shots of Rome and the Vatican. Well researched.

I am only 12 years old, but i thought this movie was wonderful. it was a little gory at parts. it was suspensful with a little bit of humor mixed in. i thought it was going to be scary, but it really wasnt. it was also exciting. some parts were a little confusing. the movie was very very different then the book, but in a way, it was better.

Was surprised that so many main specifics from the book were changed for the movie, but still enjoyed the movie very much. A little more background into the characters would have been helpful to those who haven't read the book.
