I thought it was a great movie. It was slow at first but by the time they started following the signs and trying to beat the clock, I was holding my breath. I read the book several years ago and as I remember it, the movie stuck with the book pretty well. I love Tom Hanks! He did a great job as usual and so did Ewan McGregor and Ayelet Zurer. Great casting. The ending was not as powerful and the DaVinci Code but still well played.

I have already seen it twice and its only been out 2 days...much better than Davinci Code and better than the book.
Went with different friends each time and all of them loved it to. Anyone who doesn't is a movie snob and just mimicking the cynics....
It moves very quickly and had twists and turns...some of it predictable but lots of it not....and this one the Catholic Church should not hate...actually makes the Church look better than Davinci....
Incredible scenery....brought back fond memories of my trip to Rome...inspired some in my group to want to go to Italy....

This film was so contrived it was kind of silly. The dialog was very stilted. But it was bad enough to be fun. A couple of "in" things were fun (Tom Hanks/Mickey Mouse watch, the line "when you write about this in the future and I know you will....." Good special effects and a great surprise ending.

I never read the books, and went as a favor to my husband - the same with the Da Vinci code original. I thought the concept was interesting, and the plot may have been a bit cheesy in certain parts, but basically I'd give the movie the letter grade B. My interest was held throughout. I enjoyed the book tremendously but knew from the previews to the movie that it wasn't going to be like the book. With that in my mind, I was open for anything to be presented on screen. Let me tell you, it didn't disappoint. Sure, a few details left me wanting more explanation, but the movie was well presented and gave me new found respect for the visionary that is Dan Brown. I enjoyed the book very much and was really looking forward to the movie. The movie is good, but for the devout true-to-story buffs out there, expect a lot of detail changes, including the end. Many plot changes, character changes, and several details that will make you go "WTF" (including the movie is made to be a sequel of DaVinci, where the book is a prequel") That being said, if you have NOT read the book, I think you will enjoy it for the first exposure to the story. A lot of detail was given to the ritual of Conclave, which was interesting to see played out on the big screen. Overall I enjoyed it, was a bit disappointed with some of the changes, but I still liked it, and would recommend anyone go see it.

The movie was great! One tip, if you go to see the movie, don't think you are watching the book on the big screen, they stayed pretty true, the beginning was different ( No CERN Jet!!!! :-( I was looking forward to seeing that!) but, overall it was a great action packed, drama movie that keeps you one the edge of your seat! I did not read the book so I found the movie to be a good thriller. Some parts seemed disjointed probably due to editing. It was way better than the Da Vinci code (I read that book.)

We saw the original in the theater and it was a movie that drew you into it. This one was just kind of blah. Didn't keep you on the edge of your seat.
I read the book and there was a huge important part of the book that was left out. I think if this part had been included in the story it would have been much more interesting.

Overall a very good movie, much better than The Davinci Code. If you've read the book Angels & Demons and loved it, then there are a few things in here that may disapoint you, but if you've never read the book, then it's a great movie. The cast is wonderful, writing is excellent, seems to move a little fast at times but such is hollywood these days. Tom Hanks hair is much less ridiculous than in the Davinci Code too. Overall I'd recomend seeing it in the theaters, although I doubt I'll pay the nine dollars to see it a second time.

As with the Da Vinci Code, on it's own the film is a good thriller. However as with it's predecessor the film fails to recreate the full suspense of the book and the depth of the characters. There also seemed to be more liberties taken with the storey this time with characters not appearing etc. That said certainly worth going to see.

Kept me guessing, loved Hanks' character as he explained. Yes, as another viewer said, he does this very quickly, but if I could follow it anybody could. Great acting - several wonderful old character actors - and Ewan McGregor did his best work since "Trainspotting" years ago, very subtle. The last few surprises, within minutes of each other and almost at the end of the film, were delightful. The cinematography, and the re-creation of the Vatican, St. Peter's,and all the sights of historic Rome, just blew me away. Again, my recent visit made this doubly thrilling

A must see! Ron Howard does an excellent job relating this movie to the book. The book kept you in suspense and the movie does as well. It was both visually stunning and wonderfully acted and the best part is you didn't have to read the book to understand the story. Just get some popcorn, sit back and enjoy!

Even though I had read the book which I enjoyed very much I can say that I also very much enjoyed the movie. The movie was quick paced, the character development was more than sufficient and it was visibly beautiful. I highly recommend it.
