in my opinion the movie was fantastic but it was not entirely different frmo teh book but alot was definetley diifferent. Some parts of the book thatwere my favorite parts were left out of the movie but the movie was still amazing wheterh it was liek the book or not. I would definitley recommend this movie to anyone. It was fantastic, superb directing, wonderful script, i just wish it was possibly to just make the entire book in the two hours but of course that is not possible but they did a fantastic job at the interpretation and the script and how the movie flowed.

For those of us who enjoyed the book, i think the movie did not do the book justice. I for those who liked the connection between science and religion, the movie had no such connection. Most movies do not follow the book very well and Angels and Demons was no exception. From the very first scene, the plotline of the book was obliterated. I was still drawn in. Although they killed it completely for me, they did a wonderful job of recovering the plotline at the the end. I was surprised to find that I actually enjoyed it.

Ron Howard and Tom Hanks have delivered another great movie together. Angels and Demons is long, but keeps you engaged every minute. While everything from the book couldn't fit into a 2 hour and 20 minute movie, it is generally consistent and captures the book's spirit and excitement. The great scenes of Rome are an added bonus .I doubt that it will be the critics's choice for Best Picture awards, but it certainly pleased the people in our packed theater -- some of whom applauded at the end.

The kinetic energy created by Howard and Hanks' collaborative efforts in bringing this book to life in a movie is unmistakably brilliant. The camera never seems to stop moving and Hanks is as rivetting as ever to watch as Robert Langdon. Howard got it right when he said Tom Hanks is an actor you "love to watch think". There were obvious and necessary omissions from the book, i.e. Langdon's helicopter dive, the ever-so-interesting "tour of Scern HQ" and the Chamerlango's backstory, but nothing that would keep a Dan Brown fan from loving what Ron Howard has done with the film.
The net-net of Angles and Demons as a movie is this - Tom hanks + Ron Howard + Dan Brown is a win win every time.

Many will comment on the age-old book v. movie debate - but taking this film for it's cinematic work, it's brilliant. Suspenseful and well-crafted. I've heard some say the story line is difficult to follow, but I found the symbolism quite intriguing and comprehensible. Pacing of the story and plot twists were dynamic and engaging and I thoroughly enjoy it! Grand, colorful, historic - and I liked Hanks as Langdon better than in The DaVinci Code. 2/20 is a long movie, but not in this case. Ron Howard proves again why he's one of the best directors working today.

The movie itself was maybe a B- unless you read the book. Then it would be a D-. It ventured off the book a lot and was way more predictable than the book.
