I was dissapointed in that my wife and I had a bet on how short Vitt's shorts were going to be!!! Otherwise it seemed like a version of 24 whereas TDC was more of a series. And I also would have liked to see a relationship betwee Vitt and Robert develop.

I enjoyed the book immensely however, I was somewhat disappointed in the fact that the connection between science and religion was fairly moot in the movie. I would like to have see more emphasis on why the anti-matter was created, not just to blow up the Vatican.
I understand that the movie could not go as in depth as the book as far as plot but I really wish the sinister character would have been more sinister than nerd....the book presents him as very dark, disturbed and satanic-like.
Overall the movie by itself was entertaining, but based on the book I was a bit disappointed.

This movie left me with my pulse racing. The action and intensity in this movie were superb. I found "The DaVinci Code" to be more believable, but "Angels & Demons" definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. The views of Rome were spectacular. The only thing that disappointed me is that there were one or two parts of the movie that didn't "match up", but other than that I highly recommend this movie!

First it must be stated that this picture is quite far removed from the book. Having said that, I have been trying to decide if I would have liked the movie had I not read the book. My conclusion is fair. There is simply too much information and nuance that is not in the movie. The interaction between Vittoria and Robert, leaving out MAJOR character's, etc. It seemed to be "Angels and Demons" meets one of the latter day Bourne pictures. Read the book. It's much better.

If you have read Angels & Demons, RUN AWAY from this movie! Two minutes into the movie I was already debating on walking out because while I was HOPING that Ron Howard would get this at least SOMEWHAT close to Dan Brown's wonderful novel, I was already INCREDIBLY disappointed. This movie was even FURTHER from the book than Da Vinci Code, and I hadn't thought that was possible. I was so mad I could spit. However, if you have not yet read the book and do not plan to, the movie might be alright because you have no point of reference. The visuals, characters, and script were good. So, whether you enjoy the movie or not will likely depend on whether or not you have read the book.

The beginning was good in describing the story line but did not follow the books beginning at all. The middle was awesome and captured the book great. The ending was ridiculous and completely different. Unorganized and didn't grasp the main point that the book was trying to get across in the end. Too much emphasis on the church and not enough on science. If you have not read the book im sure it is great, if you have then be prepared to be mad at the storyline.

Very entertaining. Read all of Dan Brown's books and found Angels & Demons to be the best - so had high expectations for the movie. Cinematography was great, action packed and fast paced, though a bit too fast... the speed at which the characters read the symbols and broke codes... was not very believable.... Acting was fabulous by the 3 main actors. I believe the book was better than the movie and expected Angels & Demons - the movie to be better than DaVinci Code but I don't believe it met that benchmark. I do however believe it was equally as good as Da Vinci Code and well worth seeing. Kudos to Ron Howard for another successful thriller.

Before seeing the sneak preview today of Angels & Demons, I cleared my mind of any uncertainties that might hold me back from enjoying it; the enormous amount of hatred towards Dan Brown, the fact that it was written by Dan Brown, and because Dan Brown's name is slapped on all of the posters. I went in with an open mind, and expected the worse, but instead what I got was a 2 and a half hour Roman cat and mouse game with Forrest Gump, and that is by all means good entertainment value.

They took some great artistic license with the floor plan of the Sistine chapel.
Tthe oxygen deprivation was a bit predictable but they spent a lot of money on those sets they had to destroy them.
Now does anyone besides me think flying a helicopter high enough to safe distance for an antimatter bomb is a bit questionable? Don't get me started on the whole anti matter collection part of the movie.

Boy, did the pros miss this movie or what? I read their reviews and can't imagine how they considered this a so-so movie. I also read both books prior to the movies and enjoyed Angels and Demons more then Di Vinci. Plaudets go to Ron Howard and Tom Hanks for a a fabulous film. If you are going to Angels & Demons too see Dan Brown’s book exactly transferred to the big screen, you will not that with this movie. To be honest, I really cannot think of a single book that has transferred word for word from the text to the big screen. That is the same here with Angels & Demons. Ron Howard adapted the book to the movie screen. Did he change parts of the story? Yes. Did that make the movie bad? NO!! This is an excellent movie, go see it.

From the start the movie held my interest. I must admit that at times it was a little hard to follow though and I found myself asking "is this feasible/" What I really liked about this movie is the twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. I enjoyed the unpredictability which is possible if you haven't read the book. So what if it was crazy and improbable, I was never bored and isn't that the reason for going to the movies, to be entertained. I certainly was and I'd recommend it.

This movie was a more fast-paced than the DaVinci Code, it was entertaining and kept your attention, but it kept me feeling lukewarm when it was over. The end seemed too far fetched and personally I felt kind of offended that I'm supposed to believe it.

This was a good movie, full of interesting drama, scenes of Italy and captivating storyline. You won't be bored, nor is it too hard to follow. I won't say more because if you see it you'll know why ! There is some violence and so personally wouldn't take a child under 14 as any kid in that range wouldn't be overally interested in it anyway.

Tom Hanks and Ron Howard teamed up again for great entertainment. A theme the captivates the audiance through the mixture of religion and legion. Moves quickly, possibly clues are determined to quickly, but who has time for a 4 hour movie. Worth to see.

I've read many poor reviews for this movie based on he fact that there are significant differences between them and many believe that Howard should have stayed truer to the book. If this is your sole criteria for judging the movie, then the review is understandably poor. However, if your basis for reviewing the film is strong acting, fast paced action, great cinematography, phenomenal storyline (which may not be 100% true to the book), your review would undoubtedly be good.
