This movie held my attention and was riveting. Tom Hanks is a wonderful actor. The ending was not who I expected so that was a great twist. My husband and I saw it on our night out and it made a fun evening for us. I definitely would recommend it to others. The theatre was packed when we went and you could have heard a pin drop, it held the audience so well.

I liked both the movie and the book better than the DaVinci Code movie and book. I think the key was that the movie this time did not try to follow every little detail and sub plot from the book. This also seems like more of a mystery thriller than the DaVinci Code.

I totally hyped myself up for this movie after reading the book. The book was AMAZING, and assuming that the movie was going to follow the book closely, as The DaVinci Code did, I was dissapointed that this movie was so far off from the book. As with many movies which were adapted from books, the movie fails to compare. With Angels and Demons, this holds VERY true. If I hadn't read the book, I believe I would have been completely lost. This was very well done. Of course if you compared it to the book - the book has A LOT more in it but books always do. I'm wondering if the movie would have been any different if they had been allowed to film in Rome. I have not seen a movie at the theatre in a long time but this one is definitely a must see! For fans of Hanks, this might be a decent film because his performance was top grade as he usually is. But thats about the only thing that was really worth while with this "sequel" to DaVinci Code.
The puzzles were trivial at best, the story was somewhat predicable, the events don't always add up, and the over experience just did not leave the viewer fulfilled.
If you love Hanks and/or Dan Brown, it would be a somewhat decent excuse to sit still for 2 and a half hours. Other wise, save yourself some cash for the next block buster.

Highly recommended for folks who didn't read the book. Even if you did, I think you'll enjoy it. Some folks may not like it since the movie might differ but that's ok...Ron Howard tried that w/ Da Vinci Code and it was a huge mistake trying to stay 'too close' to the book.
