We really enjoyed Angels & Demons. My son thought there should have been some build up, but I thought it was great. Lots of action. I don't recommend you believe it. Just take the ride for the adventure.

I loved the book, and I loved the movie just as much. My only warning is if you read the book you know there is some serious, but necessary violence in the book. When you see it on film, it takes it to another level. It isn't over the top and is really an imporatant part of the story line. I am very glad I took a half day vacation to go see it on opening day!

For what it was worth, the movie was entertaining. Unfortunately, I read the book too close to seeing the movie and I felt that the movie lacked the certain oomph that the book held. I missed the symbology that "The DaVinci Code" had. Overall, a good see but I should have waited for it to be shown On Demand.

Angels & Demons was another excellent movie that intertwines Religion and Mysticism into a very plausible and possibly truthful storyline. The story plays out very, very well. Though the movie overall was decent, if you've read the book (I know that's a dying hobby), I'd recommend you pass. As always, there are things that get changed in the translation from print to film, but in the case of Angels and Demons, I'd say they not only lost a ton, but they also changed many of the main story lines unnecessarily and to the overall detriment of the story.

I loved this movie. I read both the DaVinci Code and Angels and Demons. Hanks changed the tone of the character for this film to match the sequence but that is the only change I found from the book. Fast-paced, mind-working entertainment. I would go see it again and again. I love how Dan Brown blends conspiracy theory and historical fact to create an intriguing, could-it-be-true scenario. Excellent!

Ewan McGregor is the most under rated actor. He did an amazing job in the movie. At some points it seems little faced paced...while other places it lagged a bit. But the climax of the movie when the container explodes in the sky was awesome. Ron Howard - another great movie.

After I read the DaVinci Code, I heard about Angels & Demons and read it too. When I saw Code, I was a little disappointed in the departure from the book. Not so with Angels - it followed the book more closely and I think that Tom Hanks did a better job this time as Robert Langdon. As long as you look at it from the standpoint of a fictional movie, it is very well done. You can't get caught up in the Catholic vs Iluminati philosophy if you want to enjoy it.

I've never seen a movie yet with Tom Hanks in it, that wasn't at least GOOD. This goes with Angels & Demons as well. Hanks is just such a superb actor. Was it as good as its predecessor ... humm, no, but so very few are! The movie (in whole) was good. The action wasnt over the top and the suspense was done really well. The story progression to the climax was semi slow but I have always felt that for a Dan Brown movie you need at least 3hrs to get the little things that make the books so engrossing so thats ok. The movie reaches into the book and plays it safe for most of it. That makes me sad considering that this type of book/movie is supposed to make you feel a little uncomfortable with pressure looming and not knowing when and why things are happening. All in all i would say this is a good movie if you read the book and possibly a great movie if you never read it.

The movie starts out at a faster pace than the book... or maybe I'm just scientifically challeneged because I almost put the book down because of the beginning.
The story was a nice blend of history, mystery, religion, and, yes, science. The filming was great, almost made you feel like you were in Rome. The acting was pretty good; while Tom Hanks is good, I would have preferred someone else.

Am a voracious reader and have often been disapointed in movie releases. Rarely has a movie stuck to the script so "religiously" and on every level. The action. suspense, surprise twists....all handled as though the author himself directed the movie. Hats off to Ron Howard. Book-wise I preferred Angels & Demons to the DaVinci Code and now feel the same about the two movies. Tom Hanks and Langdon had a better 'fit' this time around. The movie was as thought provoking as if I had not read the book. I, for one, appreciate that... BRAVO

The adaptation from the book was well done and follwed the story line. It was fast paced but did not lose the viewer. It is a very enjoyable mystery. The story, and it is important to remember it is a story, provides escape by drawing you into the story and giving a couple hours free from dwelling on your every day trials and tribulations.

This movie, I thought, followed all of prior "Quest" type of movies like the Indiana Jones movies, and they ALL follow the same genere and style......It had it's exciting moments, but was basically a "Copycat" movie.
