Thismovie was not only great for kids, but parents too. The underlying story was not only touchig, but inspiring!! My 4 year old son was at the edge of his seat for the most part of the movie. Took my 2 nephews (ages 7 and 9) for a boys day out, and they really enjoyed it. They were at the edge of their seat througout the movie. The visual effects were great, the 3D factor really helped in making you feel that you were in the movie. All in all, this is a must see for all ages and will not disappoint.

This is an absolute must see for all! How to Train Your Dragon is without a doubt one of the best movies my family has seen in the theater in recent years. I took my children ages 5 and 8 and my mother and we all enjoyed it.. All ages. It was beautifully written and very enjoyable. One of the best movies I have seen in a awhile. The story line was very good. I loved how it followed the golden rule.. My kids loved all the action. They were not scared at all. I think I jumped more than they did , it was alot of fun... The only down fall was the price. Spent almost $50 for us 4 to go.

This is a biased review. Our daughter was involved with the making of this film - but we won't say in what capacity to protect her privacy. However, we now know why she worked 14-16 hour days for a year, on top of having two children at home who needed her attention as a mom! "Dragon" is a delightful film and delivers a strong message about learning how to live together with others who may not be like us. Though this IS fantasy, the characters are all believable, the FX are magnificent (soaring dragons, fire spewing moments, sad eyes)..... you'll see what we mean after you see "Dragon." Children as young as six see and hear much stronger things on TV than what "Dragon" delivers, so don't be hesitant about taking your youngsters to see "Dragon." Our granddaughters (6 & 8) were at the premiere with mom and couldn't wait to see it again. Yes, we will buy the DVD.

Excellent 3D animated movie. Technically this is another movie that proves 3D is finally something that adds to the viewing experience. Though this movie is obviously designed to appeal to the kids there is plenty for the adults too. Between the dry sharp wit of the main character to the overall story of friendship and overcoming difficulty. The action is superb and the 3D definitely adds to the excitement. I am a 40 year old mom of two boys with a large age gap. (6 & 14) We saw this movie last night with my mom also. The entire age range throughly enjoyed it.
It was visually beautiful with a genuinely heart-warming story. It's a story of encouragement for the underdog or the little guy.
If I had any complaint, it would only be that some of the action sequences moved so fast that it was hard to focus on what was going on. Non of it affected our enjoyment of the movie.
Great for kids and enjoyable for all ages.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This is a sweet movie on the order of *Cloudy with a chance of meatballs*
The 3D was ok, no WOWIE ZOWIE but ok.
Bring the kiddies I think ages 3-9 might appreciate it more then a tween/teen.

One of those movies when you say to yourself " I wish it was longer". The 3D graphics in this was excellent, the story line perfect for both adults and children. The ending has a good taste for a twist that benefits all.
