We took our 51/2 year old, and felt that this movie had too much violence in it. Although the message/theme of the movie is good, I would not recommend it for children under the age of 9. I was very surprised to see so many reviews stating that the movie was great for kids of all ages--my daughter was scared and confused much of the time.

Phenomenal visual and audio humor. I always hate to be the first to laugh in a movie theatre, but couldn't help myself. This was the FIRST movie theatre event for a three-year-old grandson. His attention held for nearly an hour, which was amazing in and of itself! Great light-hearted good-triumphs-over-evi presentation which I will purchase when released. The animation captures physical facial nuances flawlessly. Really enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend the film. "There are no accidents!" And seeing this movie is definitely no accident!!l

This movie was very funny. It shows a good message to kids that everybody can do anything, no matter what others think, no matter how you look, or act. Not the #1 Box Office sensation, but good for a family on a hot summers day!

We took our 6 year old to see this movie and she is still talking about it. She now wants to take kung fu so she could be like all the anilmals in the movie. I HIGHLY recommend this movie to any family. The humor was great and the action was even better.

You never know what you’re going to get with many of today’s kid movies… so often they insert political and/or agenda commentary which is simply annoying to watch as a parent. Kung Fu Panda does not fall into that “annoying” category. It is a kid movie done correctly! A fun movie with a great storyline, full of action, and a healthy dose of humor, Kung Fu Panda will have you leaving the theater with a smile. We highly recommend it.

We took 7 girls around the age of 10 for a birthday party and they all seemed to love it. Personally, I think it would be even a little better for boys. I didn't expect to enjoy it from the trailers but I did. Two of the girls were actually a little afraid in the fighing sequence. Overall It is a terrific movie, though.

I did like this movie - but unlike the other reviewers, I can't say it was a GREAT film. Our 9 year old stayed with it fine, but our 7 year old was squirmy through about half of it. It didn't really hold her attention through-out. There were several good laughter moments, but I found that I was laughing while a lot of it went over my kids' heads. On the other hand, other very small kids in the audience did laugh. Also, other kids' movies generally have a tear-jerker moment - yes, even the animated ones go for that gut level yank. Nothing in this film did that for me. All in all, it was still worth going.

This was a great movie for our 6 year old niece, 8 year old nephew and their 50 year old aunt and uncle! We all found things funny, endearing, exciting, and even a bit frightening. Some action scenes were a bit intense for the 6 year old, but the 8 year old pronounced it awesome! When asked what their favorite part of the movie was - "The Whole Movie!" They could not pick just one part. They sang "Everybody Was Kung Fu Fighting" all the way home.

This was the funniest movie I've seen this year. The voices were all extremely well played. The action sequences were choreographed flawlessly.
If you've ever thought Jack Black was funny in any movie he's been in, you'll enjoy this movie. Concepts like being blinded by sheer awesome and bodacity (noun - the degree of being bodacious) work well in context.
This is probably the best "Entire Family" family movie since the first Shrek. The age-range of the group I took to this movie was 23 - 26, and we were quoting scenes and lines the whole way home afterwards.

I was pretty skeptical at first, given that it was a panda voiced by Jack Black. In a time of Asian Fever, there are a lot of spoofball Kung Fu movies that simply makes fun of the ancient culture and artform. But this movie not only shows the gracefulness of martial arts through its voracity, it also beautified the teachings and serenity behind a mystical art. Simply awesome. Be wise, take the kids.

There isn't a wasted minute in this film. The story was good, but more importantly, it was really funny. It reminded me of the old "Looney Tunes" cartoons because it showed such a great understanding of physical comedy and humor through dialogue. This movie was probably just the right length at about 90 minutes long, as not a moment of the plot dragged. And I have to mention that Jack Black (and the rest of this star studded voice cast) did a great job. If you miss it in the theatres, you had better see this on DVD.

Jack Black knocked another one out of the park! Saw this on opening day and laughed through the whole movie. It was so good and the animation was so life like it was scary. There were several scenes were the villain's roar made me jump. I loved it. Went with close friend, the grandparents and her kids...perfect family entertainment. As a big old kid myself (who gets up and watches cartoons every Saturday morning) I loved this movie.

Great for families. Even would enjoy seeing with other adults. Saw it with my 17 year old daughter and we laughed our way through it. Refreshing!!
