I take my three grandchildren (ages 7,8, and 10) to movies regularly. They love almost everything they see. I am often forced to take naps during the movie. I stayed awake for this one. It was good. Not great, but actually very good.

I took my 4yr old daughter to see this movie. Her first movie ever its a week later and she is still toalking about it. Not only that but it actually kept her attention the whole movie through. Very cute movie! Will definately buy when out for sale.

To be honest, I didn't even see the movie, but I have friends that took siblings and they said their siblings LOVED it. And frankly, I want to know why adults are rating this movie based on what they thought, not the kids. I'm sure this movie was excellent for kids. Okay, this movie is hilarious! There are so many funny parts, I can't name them all. My friend and I went to see this movie because we have pretty much seen every movie out now (we have no social lives and nothing to do during summer. lol) She's 14, and I'm 13. My 6 year old daughter got a kick out of it (sorry, it was just sitting there waiting to be said), but as a not-so-huge fan of Jack Black I was enjoying the air-conditioned theater more than I was the movie. All the standard underdog-makes-good plotpoints are covered and there are some humorous moments but no real surprises. The talents of Agenlina Jolie and Lisa Liu are completely wasted and were more cast for their name than their vocal abilities. If it's a blistering hot day, and the power at the house is out, take your kids to go see it.

Great animation! I was surprised and impressed to find out who all the star voices were at the end of the movie. I look forward to the DVD release to get behind the scences info!
