The professional reviews of the movie were strong, but we (my 5 yr old son and I) were disappointed. It's really just an action movie, which contains a lot of impressive animation, but after a while my son was bored. The story was really flimsy and he didn't laugh once. We see EVERY kid's movie, so I think he has a good movie palate.

Great family movie. Saw it with wife and a bunch of kids (11 year-old boys and 9 year-old girs). The boys liked it more with the action and Jack Black humor, but the girls still enjoyed the funny, touching story and the cute panda. For an adult, it was enjoyable and positive, not insultingly stupid like some kid flicks. I'd recommend it for parents with boys as a sure thing, but it's a good time for anyone.

Kung Fu Panda is an entertaining children's movie that can enjoyed by all ages, though I think is especially aimed at an audience 12 and under. There's a strong emphasis on slap stick humor, and a love for kung fu is recommended, otherwise you won't appreciate it that much, as I found out. I don't think it's crucial to see in theaters, but on dvd it would make an amusing afternoon flick.

This was a terrific movie! We took the whole family. As a family (2 adults 2 children - 5 and 8 YO), we all do martial arts (Kuk Sool Won). We were able to identify with the importance of patience, perseverance, and practice as well as the need to laugh and enjoy life. Kung Fu Panda was funny enough that we all laughed together and will have something to reference often. Afterward we talked about the message that tells us we all have untapped and hidden potential to be something really great. We may not see it or understand until it's upon us. We each have a "secret ingredient." Go see the movie and you'll be able to understand what I am saying about the "secret ingredient." This will be a movie that we will add to the video collection when it comes out on disc.

We saw this with my 2 & 3 yr old. Not only were we Laughing Our Heads off but my son walked out of there saying he was Kung Fu Panda!!! This is the only movie they have watched beginning to end without getting restless. I would definitely recommend it.

This movie was wonderfully done. A great story for the young and old. They really got it right with selecting great actors for the voice overs. They all felt so right for the character and Jack Black is awesome, as always. I'd go see it again, and again. The background scenery was well done too. I took my 14 year old son to this movie, and I wasn't expecting it to be that great. There have been so many animated movies that have come out in the past few years that frankly, I'm kind of "burned out" on them. This movie though, has renewed my interest in seeing animated movies once again. The relationship between the Panda and his father is great, as is the animation, action sequences, physical comedy, etc; It really all came together and my son and I had a great time. We both haven't laughed that much in a while. I would highly recommend this movie for everyone.

I was not quite sure what to expect from this movie. It was much more than a 'cute animated flick'. It had all of the elements of a good movie: emotional roller coaster, martial arts, animals, laugh-out-loud humor, and cutting-edge animation. It even had tidbits for older viewers. My husband laughed so hard that I had to check that he was ok. For those who are animation fans, there were scenes in the movie that were reminiscent of "Samurai Jack" in style.

But at the constant begging of my kids, we went to go see it, and I am glad we did! This is the first animated kids movie I have seen in a long time that actually had me laughing out loud.
A must see for your kids, and a great time for the whole family!

My family and I really enjoyed this movie. Our kids Boy -9 and a Girl -7 loved it. Great message and tons of comedy. Overall, I would pay to see it again. =)

This movie is very funny, the voices go well with the characters, and the story has good meaning, it has a lot of lessons that even adults can learn from, good messages, encourages the kids to follow their dreams even when those dreams seam impossible to reach, it has action, perseverance, love, respect, consequences etc.. Shows problems and the fact that they need to be addressed rather than been ignore. I assure you, you will have a good time with the family and that is priceless.

It's really a 4 1/2 star. The only reason it lost a half of a star is because there were some slow spots where the kids in the theater became bored and restless. Other then that, excellent movie with a moral lesson to boot. =)
