I LOVE pandas, so I wouldn't have missed this for the world. The plot line was simple; the script humorous and it presents a good message for kids --- believe in yourself, not some imaginary power. Lots of good laughs; some unexpected; action, but not the sort of thing you wouldn't want your kids to see. It's fun for adults and kids.

This well crafted yet simple tale encourages as well as inspires kids while having the humor and drama to keep parents invested. Present is a strong vocal performance from the cast led by Black and Hoffman which adds emotion to the beautiful visuals of the sharp animation. Absent is the crude innuendo often found in family films today which only adds to the appeal of 'Panda." The violence is very mild and not at all offensive. Definitely a must see with the family and then possibly a second viewing just for yourself, you deserve it.

My husband requested "Kung Fu Panda" as part of his Father's Day present. So, we went with our 26 year old daughter and 30 year old so-in-law. We all loved it!
The movie was funny and entertaining, with a dose of humility, a well as a lesson. One is fully entertained for the whole hour and 31 minutes. This is not the movie you want to get to the point already, because the action and story never lag. In fact, I wanted the movie not to end.
Po is so cute, you'll wish you could hug him. But, you also want to cheer our hero on.
The only caution I have about this movie is the movie is rated PG. There is a lot of fighting. Please think about whether your child can handle all of the kung fu. One child in the audience couldn't and her fears, caused her parents to remove her from the movie.
I plan on seeing this movie again when it comes out in DVD. Loved it!!!!

My husband and I took our two children (ages 7 and 5) to see this movie and we loved it. Both my kids laughed aloud during much of the movie, (and so did my husband & I). I am not very interested in cartoon movies, but this one was GREAT! It wasn't too long or too short. The movie kept my kids attention the whole time (usually my son gets fidgety during a movie when it starts to bore him). Great entertainment for the whole family! My kids want to see it again!

I took my daughter to see this movie for the second time. She loved this movie and so did I. She is six and I'm forty and we both laughed. I thought it was well written and the story flowed. None of the characters were too scary, and as always there was an underlying lesson. Great Movie

When it was funny, it was very funny. When it was serious, it was pretty serious. Basic good triumphs evil. Basic Jack Black humor. A bit violent, although not graphic, with lots of fight scenes. My 5 year old was a little scared at times. Overall, not bad.

This movie will keep even the youngest movie-goers engaged with action that continues throughout the show! It's fast-paced and funny. Entertaining enough to keep adults awake and kids interested.Too many references to Po's weight for me - I think the "fat jokes" were inappropriate for children and unnecessary. However, the story did a good job of showing how Po rose above any criticism to believe in himself and reach his full potential. So the message in the end was very positive.

Growing up, I loved watching Kung-fu Theater every weekend on the USA channel. This movie brought back memories of those old classic kung-fu movies, but with a lot of comedy. If you like Jack Black's style of comedy, this is definitely a must see movie. There are non-stop laughs and the star studded cast adds to the charm of this action comedy feature. Once again Dreamworks does an excellent job of creating a computer graphics world that is vibrant with colors and fun to watch. The crisp visuals, excellent voice acting, action scenes, and gut busting comedy by Jack Black will make this an outrageously fun movie going experience. I recommend that everyone go see it. It will definitely put a smile on your face.

My 12 yo son and I both laughed a lot. He took me for my Fathers Day present. Just enough "boy" humor to be funny, not gross, and no obnoxious characters, which in itself earns this movie an excellent.

This movie was such a disappointment. With the A-list cast they had, they could have done so much more. They paid all those great actors to basically grunt through fight scenes, they barely talked. Only Jack Black's character was interesting and entertaining at all. Too much of the movie was fight scenes and "wow" animation effects. Neither my 4 yr old or 6 yr old liked it much - they were both scared at times. And my husband & I were both disappointed, too. Too bad, there was so much potential...

only went because my boyfriend dragged me there .... don't really like cartoon movies or kung fu / martial arts movies...it was funnier than I thought it would be .... I had higher hopes for this movie and it really didn't deliver. There were some brief cute skits intermingled in this low-action film. There was a drag in the middle, and I had to force myself to stay awake. The ending fight scene was ok at best and I was glad when it was over. It was not worth the admission ticket. If you really to see it, wait until it comes out on DVD.

I had high expectation going in to see this movie, since the New York Times and New Yorker reviews gave it 4 stars. I was dissapointed by the opening start, but as soon as the Kung Fu training starts for Po (spelling?) I was nicely entertained with no looking back until the end of the movie. It's definitely a summer must-see movie for all ages! With the right amount of Chinese Kung Fu philosophy and endearing action for all!

My sons 4 and 6 Loved Kung Fu Panda. They laughed very hard. My husband and I enjoyed it too. There was pleanty of humor for the grownups. Although it is an hour and a half long the time flew by. My only warning would be the boys now want to learn Kung Fu and are practicing in the livng room.
