This was a reward for my 8 year old daughter doing so well in school. My husband and I took her and her friend to see this movie the day it opened. It was definitely a very fun movie. I actually had to hush my husband because he was laughing so hard. The girls asked if they could stay and watch it again. I have already been asked if we can buy the dvd when it is released. I loved the background character building messages that were put into the movie. The dynamic between Jack Black and Dustin Hoffman in this movie was hilarious! So bottom line....kids loved it and so did the adults. Win-win!

Seen the movie twice so far and enjoyed it both times. The cast and storyline are solid with plenty of action and comedy to keep the kids interested, but fully enjoyable for adults as well. I went to see this with my 2 daughters (7 yrs & 4 yrs old). I had low expectations of it, I figured it'd be full of cheesy kung fu jokes & a little of Jack Black's hyper humor. When I saw the previews the first time, I thought to myself "uh...whatever...that looks like a box office flop to me", but it ended up being one of the best kids "feel good" movies I've seen in a long time. The overall lesson of the story (which I won't reveal, so I won't spoil anything) was moral and good, and it applied to both kids & adults. the effects were awesome, the jokes were very clean & funny, the animation was outstanding, the music was very upbeat & fun. Overall, it was a very clean comedy with plenty for the whole family to enjoy.

My daughters were dying to see this and walked away happy, it had lots of action and a good moral. I even took my 2 month old who also loved it, lots of bright colors and action to keep his attention.
