I liked all the actors and the premise, but the movie tried so hard to confuse its characters on who was scamming who that the audience winds up confused, too. And there are highly improbable shooting sequences like in a cartoon--lots of bullets and no one gets hurt. I went with four people; one hated it, two thought it OK, and I kind of liked it but would hesitate to recommend it.

This movie was different from other movies but in a very good way. It was intelligent, touching, creative, and easily kept my attention even though the story can get somewhat complicated. Very well acted...very well directed. A good choice for an evenings outing. Not for children......

Very good and different flick. Very eccentric con man movie. As a guy, I have to say I have had a crush on Rachel Weisz, and this movie does her justice with a cute, quirky role. I had not been happy with her perfomances in the past when she used an American accent, but she has now mastered it. Great job by Adrien Brody. Mark Ruffalo is good as usual. The Asian chick (Rinko Kikuchi, I take it) is funny. Interesting ending, but somewhat unsettling. Still, definitely one of the best current flicks out there.

'The Brothers Bloom' is so funny, but it’s the small things, things you have to be paying attention to see, things that are not necessary to the story that are so funny. If you don’t notice and remember what is happening and being said during the movie, you might not get the ending. The humor comes from a sick (metaphorically), twisted, genius brain. I loved it. 'A good con is when everyone gets what they want.' I got what I wanted - fun entertainment.

The movie started off cute with 2 misfit brothers going from one family to another because of all the trouble they caused. They grow up to become these strange con-man brothers . That is where you lose me. The con's were not meaningful and the purpose for the cons were irrelevant. If I could understand the idea behind the adventures maybe it would have been entertaining. The cons were meaningless and the steps of the cons lost to my perceptions of the con. Rachel Weiz was very entertaining in her part. She was a lot more developed as a character then the others and played an interesting roll. I thought this needed some major editing and could have used some humor like the movie The Sting.

With such good actors, I was hoping for something more. Was pretty slow. All the action that is shown in the trailer, is pretty much it. Story was ok, but not WOW.

The ending of this movie is such a fake effort to make what had been a "Sting" like movie into a "serious" moment.
The director was crazy to do this ending. All this ridiculous, though crazy fun and suddenly it is time to get serious. Worse than some of the sophomoric efforts of creative writing 101. This could have been a hit. It will not show box office. Date night flops in stupidity. Wait for the DVD.

Not what I expected but found it interestingly different. Loved Bang Bangs role, no dialogue but also found it... ......interestingly different. Not one of my favorites but still a good film. I happen to like Mark Ruffalo and don't think it's one of his best acting roles.
