how do I love harry potter, let me count the ways, once again I was not disapointed to the point of not liking the movie, however ,unlike the other movies in order to rush the story along there were some key things left out. i didn't like how they changed the end as far as harry and what happens to him when dumbledore is killed and would it have killed to have more on the riddles and tom's mother? the whole reason why tom is in the orphange is lost really. don't get me wrong I loved the movie for the cinematic value but as far as what I wanted to see I was a little dissapointed. I know 8 hour movie right LOL

I didn't hate the movie. It wasn't horrible. I did enjoy it as a big fan of the series. Just thought they could have done a bit more to make it stand out from the other movies. I think the only moments I will remember about this film in reference to the other ones is the last 20 mins where all the big stuff happened. The Big stuff that they should have spent more time on. I'm, hoping that the last 2 movies are just the story filling movies to set up the final 2 movies that I hope are awesome and action packed. It is a must see for Harry Potter fans. Not sure if non fans will get anything out of it.

It's made clear that HP&tH-BP is but a springboard for the next movie by its slow plot & abrupt, but gratefully reached end. As a fan, I appreciate the necessary weight given to character development; the future films would suffer were not the details covered now. This is the strong point of the movie, & nearly makes up for a lack of action in comparison to the earlier films. A must for any serious Potter fan, but don't expect to be blown away by long wand duels & magical beasts, expect rather to be intrigued by the characters. Fans will be thrilled to see the characters expanded to new heights (and depths). I'd recommend it to any established fan, but a newbie might be turned off by the slow moving plot & two and a half hour length.

This movie is typical HP. I've always enjoyed the movies, and as long as you go into this one knowing its a build up to the seventh in the series, you won't be disappointed. A few things caught me by suprise, but for the most part, it was very good. And now I'm really waiting for #7!!

As in the book, this one is more about character development then action. It's all about building things up for the finale. You get a little more into the personalities of the characters. My 8 year old nephew said it was good, without being asked, 12 year old niece enjoyed it as well. If you're a fan of the series you will enjoy this one as well.

The movie was good and my two children, ages 12 & 16, enjoyed it very much. They've read all the books. The ending could have been better. It ended so quickly without showing the funeral, which would have closed it much better. A bit disappointing to end this way.

This movie is clearly a bridge movie and I would suggest that at the very least you read the preceeding book or watch the preceeding movie before watching this one. This movie is decidedly darker than the privious HP's following the turn in the books. Darker times mixed with the main characters' teen angst and you got it. The "Aha" moment in the movie was a little flat. All in all I would have been just as happy watching the DVD.

The beginning of the movie raised my expectations. However, the plot went nowhere all the way to the bitter end, which could not come soon enough. One redeeming quality was the great special effects. I could have spent my time on something more interesting, like cleaning out the glove compartment of my car. There goes 2 and a half hours of my life that I'll never get back. Great movie, definitely left me wanting more. Unlike the previous movies that culminated in a happy ending to the Hogwarts school year, this one left me with a yearning to find out what's to come. I am an advid Harry Potter fan. I have enjoyed all of the movies extremey well. But I don't know what happened to this "translation" of the book. It was too long. Missed some very important things. Very little of Harry and Jenny (especially waiting for 6 books). Last 45 minutes I was just about to fall asleep becaus the tone & tempo of the movie dumped all over the place. Don't pay $12.00 to see this movie....Rent it.... Its worth that much

The movie was slow and kind of lame. It focused on the character's teenage romances and to be frank, it was rather annoying after the first hour. I think this is more of an inbetween movie between the ones before and the ones to come than a good movie on it's own. Def not worth paying to watch it in the theatre...

this movie made me laugh and cry. the begining of the movie was funny and the parts with ron and hermione's romance made me cry. The end of the movie was lacking some emotion like in the book. i was expecting to see the fight that broke out at hogwarts when the bad guys showed up. i also was expecting to see dumboldore's funeral. but i guess the movie can not be super long so they had to cut out certain parts.

My husband and I went to see this movie, and we both loved it. It was so well told and the graphics were fantastic. We did, however. think that a lot of the book was left out. Overall, it was an entertaining experience and worth the price we paid to go to the theater and hire a babysitter. Two thumbs up!
