It was hoot seeing this movie on its first day out in a lare theater packed out with adoring fans. The crowd was quiet at the right times, laughed at the funny stuff, and oohed and aahed appropriately. Run time is a little hard on the behind and the bladder, but overall at the end I couldn't believe it had been more than two and a half hours.

I think this movie was great! The only issue I have is how much information they left out. I would say if you havent read the books you will be EXTATIC about the movie...if you have read the books then you are probably like me... it was good, but they left so much out! There were really important things. For example, the fact that Doby and Creature were sent to "spy" on Draco...that was important but not in the movie. And Dumbledore's funeral... personally I think that was also something that was important. I understand that the books are HUGE and there is no way they could put everything in the movie....BUT! Overall this was a very good movie...

this one was my favorite one so far because i loved that besides the fighting they had how harry is falling in love, how hermoine is falling in love as well, and how ron now is desired and has a girlfriend, i thought it was really well done and not overdone or too long and boring like the last one

I went into the theater knowing that i would be somewhat disappointed when i left. Only because I love the books so much and I know there is not time to fit everything into the movie. But I left extremely disappointed.....they did not stay true to the ending at all.....terrible interpretation!!!! There is no way the Harry we have grown to love would have just stood under the stairs and watched!!!! Where was the fight scene!!!! Where was Dumbledores funeral!!!! The last 15 minutes blew it for me!

I have read all the books more than once and so far this is the best movie yet. It was entertaining and overall very well done. Yes, there are some things left out, but it's such a long novel that it would be difficult to include everything. I didn't mind the changes to this film as much as some of the others and thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it. I feel that this one stands alone way more than any of those before it. Enjoy!

I saw the movie with my daughter. She and I were reading the books together she did not read this one so she LOVED the movie. I have finished all the books and alas, as usual too much of what I thought was important never reached the screen. It made for some of what I call empty spots but for the non-readers it probably was great! If you love Harry see it anyway. Oh and the scene where Dumbledore was killed was lackluster.

I love Harry Potter, and I have read all of the books multiple times. I was very excited for the Half Blood Prince to come out because it is my favorite book in the series. I was somewhat disappointed though on their emphasis of events, and I felt like those who haven't read the books wouldn't understand some of the key components (the horcruxes, the half blood prince, etc.) because they didn't provide enough emphasis on explaining them. Still a fan though, and I will continue to see the movies.

The movie was fabulous ! Acting was the best to date and the special effects were wonderful. Jim Broadbent did a marvelous job as Slughorn. Even the parts that were not exactly as they happened in the book were true to the spirit of the books and not something completely random. I would recommend watching Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince for the continuation of the story, the development of the characters and the excellent special effects. Naturally I was anticipating what normally happens when you read the book in advance that there will be some disappointment with lack of details and subplots; I wish there were some elements they omitted that should have been included like Dumbledore's funeral and the battle of Hogwarts. If anything it's great to see how the actors have grown so much in their roles over the years. Just go and enjoy it for the continuation of the journey we all began back in 2001 and relish on the anticipation for the upcoming final 2-part films yet to come.

This latest addition to the Harry Potter series was pretty good. I wouldn't say it was the best but it did have some great moments. I haven't read the books (saving them for after all the movies) so I don't know how well it stuck to the original story, but I did feel like it skipped around a bit and seemed to assume the viewer understood certain things. But the movie shows you more of the relationships between the characters and there are quite a few funny scenes. Overall I think it was a good movie but perhaps they should have split this book into 2 movies as well.

This had to be the best Harry Potter movie yet. As an enormous fan of the books there were some (I thought) crucial scenes missing but that's what you expect when books get converted to movies. Overall, all of the actors' (especially Dan's) acting improved dramatically which made this movie much more bearable to watch. I loved the humor in this film. Great Job!

This was the first movie that picked up the funny parts from the books! It was suspenseful in parts even when we were expecting what to happen from the book.The only flaw was the beginning of the movie because it didn't follow the book there. Fantastic!

Great movie and the time flew. Visual effects were excellent and somewhat different from the previous movies. Although PG, it still has some fairly scary scenes! Be careful with younger fans.
