My grandson and I have made it a tradition to always go see the HP movies together within the first few days of them being out. We are NEVER disappointed by the screen version even though the screen version definitely leaves out a lot of details and side stories the movie is still a winner. I am looking forward to adding this to my DVD collection when it comes out in stores. Already anticipating the next and sadly final installment of the sreies.

While we waited, and waited for this movie, our expectations were high. We were disappointed. Scenes were added that were not in the book. ( As if there wasn't enough to do, they added something? ) Plot points important to the storyline in the future were ignored. It felt clumsy, didn't flow and I was horrified by the ( spoiler alert!!! ) burrow burning. They did a battle scene there instead of at Hogwarts? Odd. Left me worried about movies 7 and 8... and less anxious to see them lest they disappoint as much or more. I hope they are going to pull it all together but my confidence wanes.

This was by far the most intensive of all the movies. For you book readers the story line was changed some. Some I liked some I didn't. My only worry is with the next 2 films is that they keep Snapes story line as close as possible to the book. The Hortacrux scene was amazing. They did a truly wonderful job bring that to life! I can not wait for the next 2.

I hear what people say about the movie, regarding it being dark etc. But the link of the Half Blood Princes book and Snape was weak and pointless at best. I found myself asking So What? at the snd when the identity was revealed. Now I haven't read the books so maybe I am missing something. The whole movie plodded along and the same story could have been told in an hour less. Do they just bring Hagrid in because he's under contract, again added nothing to the story. I could go on but there is no point as the hardcore fanatics of the books/movies would not be able to see beyond their misty HP spectacles. Nice effort, but was the lesser of the movies so far, the only redeeming feature was the fact it did not go on for three hours.

As Harry matures so do these movies. This Harry was dark and mysterious but didn't leave me out because I haven't read the book. Harry and pals are facing more grownup problems in love and life. All the characters are showing what they've learned over the years. This movie was spellbinding.

This movie was a huge improvement compared to the past Harry Potters. The acting is much more believable, the story was never boring, the special effects were great, the music was amazing, and I was pleased with how they represented the book. However, one added scene and one changed scene did upset me, but the fact that some lines were word for word from JKRs masterpiece made up for it. In my opinion this one was the best (and definately funniest (probably saddest too)).

As with all book adaptations, not all scenes will ever be in these movies. That being said, the mood and story of "Half Blood Prince felt faithful to the original story.. Although, I would dearly have loved to have seen the opening scene at the Dursley's, as well as an apparition lesson. Both would have given a bit more light moments to the film without diminishing the grave outcome.

I really enjoyed watching Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince but I was really disappointed in the last scenes. I really enjoyed the movie until the last ten minutes. One minute I'm setting there waiting to find out what happens in the end since this is the "last" Harry Potter story and the credits start rolling??? What kind of an ending is that? I'm going to go and buy the book and hope I enjoy the story much more than the film and hopefully find some answers or clues that weren't revealed in the film.

This movie is good, as long as you know that the unanswered questions will be answered with the next film (which will come out in late 2010).
I had no problems with any of the acting, though they could have included some of the scenes that involved other characters...characters you saw in this film but didn't hear from (aka they had zero lines).

Rowlings wrote terrific material and we didn't understand why the movie makers felt like things needed to be added and changed from the original story. Then there were things that we thought were crucial to plot for the next movies that were left out.

All though this was probably the best movie out of all the books there were major plot points that were missed. When there is a book as long as this one it is hard to cover everything that happens, yet i do not think it is ok to add things that did not happen. i still really did enjoy this movie.

The movie had a lot more romance, and lacked details from the story plot. Although I enjoyed it, I would have preferred to see more of the action that was encompassed in the book.

I've already seen this movie three times and am re-reading the book. I was disappointed in the ending! I felt like they should have shown the memorial to Dumbledore. There were a few details missing but considering how much was in this book, it was well done. I really enjoyed seeing Hermione, Ron, Harry and Jenny's relationships developing. I also loved Luna. That was well done. I am anxious to see the next 2 movies. J. K. Rowling is incredible! What an imagination!
