The plot thickened to sludge in this movie. No Rufus Scrimgeour, no Merope Gaunt, very little Snape, no elucidation of Snape's playing both sides against the middle, Bellatrix as the main villian, a floating pensieve, a boring "climax" - both Dumbledore's demise and the reclaiming of the horcrux, the attack on the Burrow?, no Flem, no Bill, more Luna?, no tension between Tonks and Lupin, the spoken revelation about the vanishing cabinets . . . too many changes, too many jump shots, not enough context. Actors were great (with what they had). Coming of age tension was good. Apparition was cool.

We enjoyed the movie for the humor and action sequences. The movie is not 100% true to the book (but how can you be with 600+ page book), however, it sets up the final chapters... which is what the book did.
Harry and Ron get to show different sides of their personalities and it is fun to see all of the characters grow up.
This movie is a must see as part of the complete Harry Potter series. The story continues...

Overall a very entertaining movie. Could have you used more action . Could have used less teenage romance scenes. They may the point they are growing up but it was overdone. The tension i felt in this book between Snape and Harry i did not sense in the movie, despite the chase scene in the ffiled at the end.

This movie was without a doubt my favorite Harry Potter film yet. The mixture between rich comedy and dark violent scenes created a fabulous balance that had me clutching the edge of my seat the entire time. The characters were profound and much more mature. It was so fun to see them work through the issues of a teenage witch/wizard. The acting in the movie was also a huge improvement. Tom Felton had an outstanding performance as well as the trio. The enging was a complete cliff hanger and has Harry Potter fans more than eager for the next film! Go see this movie or you will be missing out!

This movie went along with the book in a very complementary way. The user that said the ending was bad because of the unanswered questions should refer back to the book because the book ended in a similar fashion leaving a lot of questions. I think this is the best movie to date and would recommend it to anyone!

I enjoyed the movie; however I was somewhat disappointed. It felt rushed and unfinished. While it WAS enjoyable to watch, I wish that there had been more magic since I nearly forgot they were wizards. Then again, I think book 6 was my least favorite so that my be coloring my opinion a bit too :)

I had a blast watching this movie! Though, I probably think that was due to the fact that I have not read the books since I first read them when they came out. I'm sure things were filmed out of order, left out, added in and what not... All in all I cant complain about this movie. I finally got the feel that we were apart of the Hogwarts year. Visually stimulating in every way and never let you ask your self when it was going to be over. Glorious dialogue that kept you laughing till the end, despite the out come of things. I cant wait for the next one!

I laughed, I cried, I jumped - this had everything for me. The plot was a little messed up (for those of us that have read the books) but at least they got most of the major details in there. I'll definitely see it again!

The character development in this film really took all the relationships to a new level. I was especially impressed with Tom Felton in his performance of Malfoy. Each character from Snape to Lavender sold the role, allowing the movie to even exceed the Azkaban film.

First off, the midnight premiers of the Harry Potter movies are always the best.
The movie was pretty funny and it delves into the characters' personal relationships more, but the parts with The Burrow and the added scenes with Ginnny and Harry threw me off. If they burn down The Burrow, where will they have the wedding? Granted, they could fix it, but it just leaves a lot more questions than if they had just left it out and PUT IN THE HOGWARTS BATTLE SCENE. That was all I wanted, to see everyone battle (and I knew the Inferi would be cool), but sadly I was disappointed.
So basically, very funny, very well scripted, but not really for hardcore nitpicky Harry Potter fans.

HBP was filmed with care to stay true to the story and got all necessary plot lines. True, parts in the film were not in the book, but those did make the movie artistically better. The ending was done well leaving a great hole open for the upcoming film. One of the best (if not the best) HP films yet.

Honestly I was very disappointed with this movie. This was my favorite book and I feel they left out WAY too much information to the point where if you havent read the book it would have been just plain confusing. Certain people and circumstances NEEDED to be in the movie and they were not. After waitiing in line for 4 hours to see the midnight showing, I dont think it was worth it. I love Harry Potter and sure the movie itself was good, but the interpretation of what it could have been, and should have been, was very poor and I think lazy almost.

The latest Harry Potter is directly aimed at teens and young love. It is full of laughs and will definitely keep your interest, although the story line is a bit confusing, especially if you haven't read the book in awhile. The look of the film with it's hard lighting and dark shadows gives an eerie feeling to the film. I would have liked to see Hagrid and Luna a bit more, and perhaps a little less snogging. The teenagers with me agreed that another 30 minutes to help develop the story would have been ok with them.

My 9 year old and I went to the midnight release of HP expecting a lot intense action and a darker movie. What we saw was a lot of teenage love angst which, while very funny, left my 9 year old "in the dark". You need to read a lot of the facial expressions and body language to "get it". The audience laughed out loud frequently, but barely gasped in suspense. I truly enjoyed the movie and the cinematography. I wanted more in the ending as it was way too simplistic and "gentle". This book was very intense and heart pounding while the movie did not portray this feeling as well. I would prefer a PG-13 version that is more true to the real ending.

I have been looking forward to this movie for a long time. I loved the previous 5, but felt as though this one lacked special effects, fight scenes and overall the plot was rather disappointing. As a Harry Potter fan, I would recommend that you see this movie so you will be prepared for the deathly hollows, but don't see it at the IMAX or IMAX 3-D. I'd save that for films that actually have good special effects.

The characters were much better presented in the storyline and more believable. The problem is with the ending which was so blah. Hopefully, with the next film, more can be expanded on.

The movie was very entertaining, and very funny. However, I found myself asking why certain unknown scenes were added to the movie and why some very important ones were cut. The actors and actresses were fantastic. Emma Watson truly captured the emotions of Hermione. The end of the movie was awful and left everyone asking questions. Lets hope the next book is portrayed better. So overall even though I was disappointed with the movie it was still fun to see.

This was by far the best of the Harry Potter Movies. From the onset they have been setting the stage for the beginning of the end of this epic tale. The effects, the story, the development of the characters was involved and riveting.
Hats off the JKR and the people who have brought us this wonderul tale.
A must see!
