Best Potter yet. Clever, pretty accurate, funny, everyone can relate at some point in their life to some plot scenes. It was very well put together from a humor stand point and a serious stand point. It gives you the scary feeling of Voldemort and the funny feeling of high school.

Out of necessity, the movie is darker than the others. However, it makes up for that with the moments of humor throughout. I very much enjoyed the movie and have plans to see it again. I only have one question of David Yates. The ending is so unlike the story in the book, I wonder how it will all fit in with the Deathly Hallows movies. I would have paid extra and sat a half hour longer for it to be done closer to the book. The being said, it is still my favorite of the 6 movies. I give it 2 thumbs up.

First off the movie was beautifully filmed. The special effects were great and the small attention to detail was fantastic. e.g. the snowman on the cake in the Weasley's house over Christmas break. The story was very good although not the way I felt when reading the book. There was some very funny parts but I thought the book was Dark, and Very Very Angry. I didnt get this in the movie. On the whole it was very good.

Many people were angry about the fact that it didn't follow the book exactly, but people need to understand is that the producers need to be able to make the book into a likable movie, which is what they did. If they added everything in the same amount of time, the movie would have been horrible. They can't make a 6 hour long movie, either. I think that it's amazing how good of a job they did with making the script consoladated but keeping it "Harry Potter." People need to understand that there is almost NO way to put everything in the movie! I thought the movie was GREAT. It really was hilarious, and I was so happy to have great ron/harry/hermione moments! The ending was poignant w/o being over done. GREAT MOVIE!

Saw it at a 10 theatre sellout at Midnight. Thought it was terrific. Complaints I heard had to do with fidelity to the book. Sorry not me. Unless the books are ever produced as a mini (or actually not so mini) series for Television, I doubt book purist will ever be satisfied.
Great pacing, started to drag at the 2 hour mark, I think but it might be because it was 2:30 in the morning by then.

I waited for so long to see this one and I was so excited when it finally came out because I'm a HUGE fan of the books. I've read the 6th one 4 times and I honestly think that they left out crucial points. There was a random fight scene in the middle of the movie which never occurs, and they left out a huge battle at Hogwarts at the end. If they would have taken out the non-existant scene and replaced it with the real scene towards the end, my review would be much better. I understand that movies are always different from the books so I'm keeping my mind open about that. As a movie, it was pretty good. However, it was almost insulting that they changed so much of JK Rowling's wonderful writing.

After having read all of the Harry Potter books and seeing all of the movies out, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was definately my least favorite movie so far. Many details were left out, a fight scene was added, a fight scene at the end was non-existent, and key parts of the book were either left out or changed. There are also many quotations of characters speaking directly out of the book, but it got annoying because they were out of place, and some weren't even said by the character who made the statement in the book. Overall, I was highly disappointed and the movie was not worth all of the hype that it received.

The movie overall was good, but I was disappointed that it did not follow the book very well and many of the fight scenes in the book were not done. I would have rather seen it be a PG-13 movie if that what it would have taken to be more like the book.

I should give it 2 stars but I love the characters and I love everything about the movie EXCEPT THAT THEY DIDNT FOLLOW THE BOOK. the best part about seeing harry potter movies is seeing the books come to life. when you change it so much that non-readers dont know how snape is the HBP...we have a problem. they left too much out and too many creative liberties were taken. I am extremely disappointed.

I don't follow the book and from what many people tell me it didn't follow the book either but as far as all the other harry potter movies go this one was definitely different from the rest. I mean they were drinking beer and seemed like they were high through out the whole movie lol. It didn't focus on the school anymore which what made it different. I enjoyed the movie and I would even go see it again. It was funnier then the others in my opinion and had nice twists and turns to it.

I loved the humor in this one, but it almost overshadowed the serious mood. The astronomy tower scene was a little disappointing. Would it have hurt to make it PG13 and show a little more of the struggle with Death Eaters and Hogwarts? A little more back story about Tom Riddle and the horcruxes would also have been helpful, especially to those not readers of the book.

That movie was beyond hilarious and probably one of the best so far. The story line was great of course, all credit to JK rowling and the acting was phenomenal as usual. Of course there were minor details that didn't exactly fit together with information from past movies, so I would probably give it a 4.75 stars as opposed to five, but other than that great movie. I would recommend it to everyone.

They left out many fun and important parts from the book, changed the circumstances of the very important kiss, and took some very liberal licenses with the script. Dont expect anything that was left out of past movies to be added to this one. However, once you can move past the glaring discrepancies, it was an awesome movie. Special effects were nice, but the character interaction, as well as their depth and developement, and even some of the changes, made the movie work very well together. True Potter fans may be disappointed but overall, I liked it.

The movie like all the others was excellent. Very good acting, great special effects, and the script well written. But for the die hard Harry Potter fans that have read and reread the series, the movie disappoints. The ending was not up to standard with the book what so ever with no funeral for the greatest wizard of all time and the lack of a fight scene between the students and Death eaters. HBP was a great movie. I'm a huge fan of the books, and even though the movie strayed from its literary counterpart a bit, it was still extremely enjoyable. The acting was much improved. Radcliffe and Grint were both hilarious. To my happiness, Gambon also stepped it up. Much more Dumbledore-esgue than the previous movies. The only qualm I had with the film was the Ginny-Harry scenes. Most of them were painfully awkward to watch. A result of the combination of cheesy lines and mediocre acting on Wright's part, I suppose. Nevertheless, I would HIGHLY recommend this movie to anyone. Just the right amount of humor and tragedy.

First let me say that I love the Harry Potter books and movies. Ms. Rowling is a remarkable writer with unbelieveable imagination. Having just re-read The Half-Blood Prince to refresh my memory, I was disappointed in the movie because it left so many questions unanswered, so many things left out. I would have sat in the theater an extra hour or so to see where Tom Riddle came from, his family (mother, uncle, grandfather, father, etc). It was very confusing to those who didn't read the book what was happening. I hope they do the last book justice and include all. They didn't have to change why Harry didn't help Dumbledore at the end, it would have made it much more acceptable and not make Harry look so adolescent.

I really liked the movie, but I read the books before and there was alot missing and teh movie felt rushed. Personally I would have sat through it if it was 5 or 6 hours long becuase th movie improves by so much with all those little details. But overall I thought it was a really good movie! I'm going to go see it many more times in theaters!

It was still a great movie. It was funny without being too funny and the acting was good. But there wasnt a lot that went on as far as plots go. I'm not going to go into detail and ruin the movie, but it was worth seeing.

I found this movie to be a very good rendition of the 6th book, and I am an avid reader of the books so that is very high praise. There were scenes added in but they flowed very well. I found one thing that I could really nit pick about but other than that it was probably the best movie since the days of Christopher Columbus!
