I thought the hype would ruin it, but I was pleasantly surprised. Not only was the movie entertaining, but it made sense. It's two and a half hours long, but I swear I was only sitting in the theater for ten minutes. I don't regret spending money I don't have to see The Dark Knight on the big screen...LoL

This movie rocks for the intentended audience (e.g. don't take your toddlers). A bit darker than previous Batman movies, but also supportive of the title with a clue as to the ending.

The film was amazing. I dampened my expectations some going in because I thought that the movie was being over-hyped and that it would leave me disappointed. However, the movie was incredible and deserving of just about every accolade that has been lauded on it. The actors all have their moments and deliver exceptionally well. The story delivers the action but also offfers up some intriguing philosophical questions and is very entertaining. I could go on for a long time about the film so, I'll simply say go see it. It's worth it.

This movie definitely met up to the expectations set by the media. Heath Ledger couldn't have done a better job with his character. Excellent. This was one of the best movie's that I have seen. If I had any complaint it would be that it is a little TOO LONG!! BUT it is worth every hour you spend in the Theater!!!

The new Batman is definately a must see if your a fan or just someone looking for entertaiment! Despite the 2 and 1/2 length, it doesn't drag at all and Heath Ledger gives a spectacular performance as the Joker. The action scenes are well put together and provide an intense atmosphere for the audience. Christian Bale gives a decent acting performance, however its better than watching George Clooney and Alicia Sylverstone fight Arnold as Mr. Freeze!
I give this one two thumbs up and a must see!!!

This is one of the few movies that actually exceeded my expectations. I cannot find fault with any aspect of the movie. A very well directed, well acted and well produced movie. Although the content is too dark for most kids under 15, it is engaging enough to make you forget that it runs almost 2 hrs 30 min.
I would rate this far above the series of batman movies that Tim Burton started almost 2 decades ago. Heath Ledger gave an outstanding performance as the Joker. A must see for all fans of Batman, and for anyone who wants to see a good movie.

I recommend this movie for people of all ages. It has a perfect amount of action and suspense.
This was definitely Heath Ledger's breakthrough performance, and it is sad to know that it will be his last one. Christian Bale and Maggie Gyllenhal also did excellent in their roles. I give it 2 thumbs way up and can't wait to see it again!

This was a great movie! I too was afraid that it would not live up to the hype, but it was even better than I expected! Well cast, great story, and the city of Chicago was perfect for Gotham. We will see it again...on IMAX. Be careful taking small children...it is dark and the villian is scary - Heath Ledger - you rock! It is also long, but not boring...small children may not last...

This movie is just marvelous. I enjoyed the fact that all characters experienced some type of darkside to them. Of course, Batman the main character experiences the most. Not only is he Bruce Wayne, but as Batman he lives as the hero for the people and a villian of his own life full of loneliness. The Joker stole the show with his ingenious precise calculations and satirical behavior. At first i thought, 2 1/2hr but it was enough time to develop all characters. There were many foils and pardoxes that continued to entertain throughout. So much you can't help to feel some catharsis emotion for both heroes and villians...MARVELOUS!

The plot was spectacular, nicely written, lots of interesting twists. Characters were perfect, realistic while still holding true to their comic book namesakes. I too was worried about the hype, but this movie did not fail any expectation I had of it. It's like two movies in one.

I'm not the stereo-typical 'fan boy' in any regard.
I was.....blown away.
Best Super Hero Movie...of all time.
ONE OF the Best Movies of all time.
Heath Ledger...Hands DOWN...BEST VILLAIN...of ALL TIME.
He took this role..this movie.....and just RAN with it. Combined with the flawless performances of every other major character...and you have...movie perfection.
From the very first moment..literally..that Heath arrives on screen..your attention is RIVETED to him..and you CAN'T take your eyes (or ears) off of him. He's Phenomenal. I've never see anything like it. Combined with the EXCELLENT SCRIPT and Plotting by Chris Nolan....whoa! Such substance and philosophy combined with action and pacing. The film never lets up. I don't have enough good things to say about it. I've PAID TWICE to see it so far and am driving 75 miles to Virginia to pay to see it in IMAX. and I'll probably see it a couple of more times after that......

Probably one of the best Batman films made to date. Exceptionally dark so definately not for kids. Heath Ledger stole the movie. He was outstanding and defiantely worth all the praise I read about before seeing the film. I had high expectations and am happy to say they were met.

Amazing! Words can not describe how great I thought that movie was. I loved the first one and didn't feel they would be able to meet the caliber of the first one but I was wrong, this one was even better! Heath Ledger did and amazing job, had I not known he was the Joker I would have never been able to guess. And of coarse I've got to give props to my dream boat Christian Bale! Loved it, loved it, LOVED IT!!! I'm going to see it again!

Most of the time in movies, after about an hour you sit there and think "okay, lets get this over with, im ready to go home!" Not with this movie. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time! This is truly an excellent movie for start to finish. The grit comes through from the start. The deranged and twisted thoughts of the Joker make themselves evident right from the first sequence of events. The cool calculated genius was more than any comical character or cartoon facsimile. This was Ledger at his best. He created something that was bigger than the character itself. The plot was deep and thought provoking. When good becomes evil the lines become blurred. When the hero is the hunted, you are left wondering about the nature of who we are. This was truly a remarkable piece of work. To follow this work of murkiness and action will be a very “Diabolical” challenge

I was on the edge of my seat for the whole movie. I am sure it will be up for a number of awards. It was surreal watching Heath Ledger. His performance was memorable. All of the actors gave outstanding performances. I did not see Batman Begins, but will be sure to see it soon and plan to see The Dark Knight again.

I had heard that this was going to be an incredible movie, and it did live up to that hype. My only complaint was the length, but better a too long great movie than any length bad movie! All the performances were awesome and the story was compelling, not just a mix-up of the same old plot lines. I highly recommend this movie to anyone that likes superhero/action movies.
