Chistropher Nolan has set a new benchmark for action narratives derived from Comic Books/ Graphic Novels. The characters, dialogues, and sequences he provided set one hell of a stage for his acting regime to shine. Whilst everyone turned in a stellar performance, I must say the spotlight shone brightest on Heath Ledger, Aaron Eckhart, and Maggie Gyllenhaal. Bravo!

I have never been a Batman fan but this movie was truly amazing! Heath Ledger is every bit as good as people say- truly unbelievable. Don't waste time- go see this!

It was a very action filled movie, good plot, kept your interest. The movie was a little too long, I began to get very fidgety after 2.5 hours. Maggie G. was mediocre, could have used a more dynamic female lead. Heath Ledger was extremely dark and in perfect character, he was definitely an Oscar worthy performer, although posthumously.

I still don't like the "smoker's voice" they make Christian Bale do when he's batman, but the movie is my favorite of the Batman movies. Heath Ledger was phenomenal!!

Christian Bale and Heath Ledger made a great team. I thought Bales role is being cut short with the death of Ledger but his role as the Dark Knight was terrific. Two Faces being introduced left an opening for Part III. A must see for anyone interested in the DC Comic The Dark Knight. Great Acting/Great Dialog/Great Movie.

In classic critique form, I usually harp on negatives. This movie had none in my opinion. There were no outlandish overdone action scenes, they were appropriate. There was no horrible acting, it was very good - although I didn't like the casting of Morgan Freeman in that role. The plot was twisty, fast paced, and kept me busy - I loved this movie.

This was a great movie and followed well from the first one. Heath Ledger carries the movie as the villian, but that's what villians do in superhero movies. Character development was great except could have used more on Rachel Dawes relationship with Harvey Dent. Random appearance at the beginning of a previous villian was bizarre and seemingly misplaced. Movie was too long and ended 3 times. Can take some of the umph of satisfaction out when you go up and down like that at the end. Not the best superhero movie of all time, but right up there and well worth the time and $.

This movie was well done. Heath's performance is chilling and I cannot imagine another actor who could ever touch his performance. I thought it was approximately 20 minutes too long- the last scene with Batman and the Joker never ends. Aaron Eckhart did an amazing job too.

I went to see this movie with my husband, and I am not the biggest action fan. But I can truly appreciate this movie. It is a far cry from the chessier old Batman movies... it is dark, dark, dark. You totally believe all the characters and the story line was wonderful. The only thing I didn't like was that they seemed to edit some of the violent scenes for the PG-13 rating. It left a lot to the imagination.

I thought it was better than most of the other ones. It was unique in it's own way. I wouldn't go as far to say that Heath Ledger deserves oscar buzz, although he did a really good job. I was a bit annoyed with Christian Bale's facial expressioins when the camera showed him talking when he was in the bat suit.

This movie was non-stop action and plot for 2 1/2 straight hours. Don't drink a huge soda during this movie b/c you WILL NOT want to get up at any point. Heath Ledger is incredible and Christian Bale keeps it up as the new face of Batman. This is a must-see!

I rarely am surprised by a movie especially one with so much media coverage and hype. I was blown away by the joker. This movie had it all and kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. I found myself wondering whether Heath Ledger's phenominal tranformation into the character of the Joker lead to his inability to sleep and his untimely death. He was that believable as a mad man. I would recommend this movie and plan on seeing it again. This was the first Batman movie that I truely enjoyed. I am a tough critic. See this one!

Exhausting in a good way. Possibly the most satisfying movie-going experience I have ever had. This film definitely requires multiple viewing to absorb all the depth, nuances, and thesis posited by director Christopher Nolan. This film will have the wheels turning in your mind for days... it really sticks with you! Love it!

I do mean it. It's the best movie of the year by far. They took Batman to a whole new level. This is not a comic book movie. Joker personafies pure evil. It was really crazy how great he did. Whoever does not give Heath a nod for the Oscar should have his/her creditials taken away because NOBODY could have done a better job than this guy.
