I was expecting the Joker to be one of the greatest villains of all time after this movie, but I was not expecting the level of creativity that was put forth to develop the character of Two-Face. Easily one of my favorite movies of all time.

Well i am a big Batman fan, Ledger played Joker perfect, i really wanted to cry for the reason that it was just perfect, sinister and crazy, i recommend it to everyone, and yet this is another good example of why Batman is better than Superman. I never wanted the movie to end, i cried when it was over. Too overly excited for this movie, and I know i am going to watch this movie a couple of more times in the theater!!! Long Live the dark knight!! long live the Clown Prince of Crime!!!

If you like the first 'Bale' Batman, The Dark Knight is your new best friend. There was no part of this movie that needed a redo, I couldn't find any move mistakes and the score was incredible. The acting - I don't even know what to say!
Heath Ledger, in what is his most famous role EVER, was beyond superb; the way that he changed his voice, you would never have known it was really Heath Ledger. Not only is he demented enough to, as my friend says, "Remind people of Clockwork Orange" but real enough to make you worry about some of the people in the audience following in his footsteps. My favorite part- not only does he have some of the best one-liners in the movie, but he has a great commentary on the world today, when talking with Harvey.
Speaking of Harvey - Aaron Eckhart is dramatically underrated in this film, as he is deserving of some hype, too. For those who don't know about Harvey, I won't ruin the surprise, but let's just say that he transforms into a most believable reincarnation. Eckhart takes the strife and the confliction and shows a real person, or how a real person may reacy, and does it in a way that makes you see how completely opposite and how incredibly similar Harvey is from Bruce.
Oh Bruce - HOW WE LOVE THEE! Christian Bale was able to portray just the right amount of vulnerability and anger to make you believe that he really is Bruce Wayne; in fact, when you see a trailer (at the start of the movie) with Bale in it, you'll be mighty confused why he has a gun and not a cape. Bale's honesty in his acting once again makes him not only a delight in the scene, but makes the audience wonder if he isn't just really a little more Bruce Wayne than the rest of us like to think we are.
Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine reprise their roles, and continue to give depth to 'minor' characters of Batman with major impact. As Bruce's guides and surrogate fathers, they are able to continue to teach Bruce the life lessons on reality, and the fantastic aspects of the Batman situation, in ways that seem meant for more than just Batman. Everyone I've talked to walks away with a life lesson from one, if not both, of these men.
Gary Oldman, as the beloved Gordon, continues to provide a stellar (even surprising) performance, and a heartwrenching soliloquy at the end which shows the direction of the next installment. The only snag in the ENTIRE movie is here, ond only for those who follow the comic... catch it if you can!
Lastly, but not least, is Maggie Gyllenhal. Again, having more of a minor role, we are still able to see how she will forever impact Bruce, Harvey and the rest of the characters.
The acting, superb- every single actor made this movie REAL, not a fantastic comic-book version. In a time when even Reality seems unreal, this movie is a great escape into another land of reality- somewhere so close you don't even need a passport- where you can be entertained, disturbed and delighted in a fantastic movie experience. Just be prepared for the lines of fans, the cheering audience and the rush of a great and distrubing time.

this was a great movie. i thought it would be just for kids but i am 58 years old and i loved it! ithe movie was exciting and held my interest to the very end. i was most impressed with the

I was excited about seeing the Dark Knight. Great actors....I was surprised to see Morgan Freeman in it. We were trying to figure out why Batman sounded like he was talking like how when someone tries to make their voice deep, but besides that I think Christian Bale did Michael Keaton ,George Clooney and Val Kilmer proud. Was he the best....ehhhh No, but he was a different type of Batman than the former actors. Bale was a bad mumya *shut yo mouth* Batman. I mean, you did not want to mess with him!
I really don't think that this movie needed to be almost 3 hours long, but there was great action through out. Heath Ledger did Jack Nicholson proud as the Joker.
Overall, this was very much a "Millennium" version of all the Batman movies. The scenery was very realistic unlike the Keaton version. Great Movie.....go see it!

Very solid entertaining movie. One of the best ever Batmans. Certainly worth seeing, if a bit longer than it needed to be. Not worthy of quite all the hype it has gotten, which has imho been magnified quite a bit by Heath Ledger's passing.
In any case, definitely should be on your list of movies to see this summer.

A great piece of cinema. Nolan talked about escalation in the first film, and he's definitely done it with the second. Great cast, great design, and best of all, great bat-action! There is so much subtext in the film that it's worth repeat viewings just to catch it all. A real thinking-man's action movie, and if you only see one film this summer, make this THE choice... ;)

There is no doubt that the dark knight is by far the best superhero/batman flick I have ever seen ever. It brings you into the movie just seconds after it starts and everyone remains silent and not a dull moment at all. You have to see this movie not only because of all the hype, but because of what it brings to us personally. Although, do not bring your little ones with you for there are some scenes not suitable for them and will give intense nightmares. I will not spoil this movie for anyone so please accept my request and watch this movie.

I have to say that this is the best Batman movie since the original. Every part of it is done with proper style and the performance of Heath Ledger is award winning. I still have problems getting past Christian Bale's change of voice when he is in the Batman costume

This movie was 2 hours and 30 minutes, but it didn't seem long at all. From start to finish it was action and suspense filled. Heath Ledger should receive an Oscar bid, he did such a good job, you almost start rooting for him. The only down-side is that Maggie Gyllenhal is no Katie Holmes. I don't know why she was not back for the sequel. This movie was better than Iron Man, Hulk and Batman Begins, I'm definitly going to see it again.

Not only was it action-packed, but it possessed all the qualities of an epic movie: drama, comedy, and a little bit of romance (very little, actually). The movie was very balanced, not overplaying the Joker character, and Bale does his thing well once again as the Caped Crusader. The comedy was well-placed, and sometimes you even feel a little guilty laughing at some of the parts. Those who see it will know why. Overall, just a GREAT movie from all angles. I really can't find any short-comings about the film. RIP Heath Ledger...

Undoubtedly the best Batman so far. Heath Ledger gave an Oscar winning performance!
Chistopher Nolan has a masterpiece. A little lengthy and boring with the plot details, but overall a movie worth seeing multiple times. It held my attention at least 99% of the 2.5 hour run. Will definitely recommend it and buy it, too!

I think a lot of people might be going to see this movie to honor Heath life since he died which is fantastic, but people should be going to see this movie to honor Heath's phenomenal acting. I have never seen him play a role like the Joker and he did a fantastic job. Aside from him being in it all the actors did a great job and Christian Bale was really hot as batman and the action was incrediable in this one.
