The Dark Knight is an incredible movie. Batman Begins was awesome but this one is the best sequel movie I have ever seen. Christian Bale and Heath Ledger are excellent actors and did an amazing job creating the love/hate relationship for both the Batman and The Joker. The Joker is the best villian ever!

First off, I am forever eternally grateful to Bob Kane, David S. Goyer, and obviously the Nolan brothers for finally giving the world an inside view into what Batman represents. With that being said, this movie is a masterpiece. The story, the screenplay, the direction, the cinematography, the dialogue, the casting, and the special effects all worked together in perfect harmony. It surpassed anything I had in mind it was going to be. I was blown away and the only downside to having watched this movie is the fact that I will always compare everything else to this and nothing will ever measure up to it. It has officially made #1 on my list. This movie will impact you on every level even if you're not a Batman fan.

Don't read any more reviews of this movie and go now to see it. The intricacies of plot and brilliance of performances will best be done justice by wide-eyed bewilderment. The best: Ledger as Joker: performance of a decade- like Hanks in PHILIDELPHIA or or Spiccoli in DEAD MAN WAKING. The bad: ummm... its maybe too long? Nah. Brilliant.

This show will grab you'r attention from the start. It is 2 1/2 hrs long but you are so into it doesn't seem that long. I normally don't get into the Batman movies but this one was great.

This movie was absolutely worth the wait. TO be honest, I was afraid that the movie was going to be disappointing just like many of the latest movies. However, this movie lived up to every expectation I had about it. Not to mention I great last performance by Heath Ledger as "The Joker." I heard that he was already being considered for an Oscar nomination, and I can see why. He was truly his character. It was his best performance ever.

Not being a huge Batman fan I was still excited to see this movie because of the quality of Batman Begins. Not only did The Dark Knight meet my expectations, it blew them out of the water. Great acting, great special effects. I loved the quality story line, and was surprised to see innovative action sequences, normally I get bored with car chases, but these were awesome too watch. I highly recommend this movie to everybody. side note: I don't think this movie is really for children. Although there's not much gore, it's still disturbing for youngsters.

The movie was sensational! I felt like I held my breath for 2 1/2 hours! My heart didn't slow down for another 30 mins. after the movie ended.
Ledger's Joker was by far the scariest, most menacing villain I have seen to date. The way he kept licking his lips creeped me out! I wish Heath were still here to accept the awards he is bound to get.
Christian Bale....GORGEOUS!
Harvey Dent...Also Gorgeous
I will have to see the movie again to catch all that I missed when my eyes were closed.

The sequel to Batman Begins (the best Batman movie created so far) was definitely worth the 45 minute wait in the lobby. With all of the hype surrounding the movie and Heath Ledger's performance, I was worried that it would not live up to my expectations - but it did not disappoint. Almost every scene was full of suspense and kept the full attention of the audience. A naturally darker film (as was the first), Heath Ledger's performance also added an unexpected light-heartedness and humor to the film. I have seen almost every movie that he has been in and I feel that this was his greatest achievement as an actor and one of the best performances of any actor that I have yet seen.
While Christian Bale seems to be constantly overlooked and underappreciated - I have been a fan of his since I first saw him in Newsies. He is a very talented actor who has a knack for roles of darker qualities and emotions. But he also brings a great charisma and subtle humor to the screen. His performance in the second of the Nolans' Batman movies was again excellent, but I feel his role lacked sufficient depth and screentime this time around.
Supporting roles played by Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Gary Oldman really brought the whole movie together - making it the best film I have seen this year.

This is the new standard for making comic books into movies. Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are finally getting the darkness of the characters right. This is what Batman should have been like all along. I didn't want the movie to end. Best film of the year by far.

I have to admit, i had exceedingly high expectations when going to see The Dark Knight. At the same time, these expectations were surpassed by a long shot. Never have I seen a superhero movie with such good plot and action. I would highly recommend The Dark Knight to anyone and especially those seeking thrilling action and exceptional acting.

Probably the best movie you will see all year. Ignore the comic book setting if you think the medium is too juvenile and watch a classic performance by Heath Ledger as he makes Nicholson's amazing performance a footnote.

Best Batman movie to date. Heath Ledger NAILED the Joker! I could have done with a slightly less cocky Bruce Wayne although CB definitely pulled it off as Batman. And too bad about the "Clint Eastwood with a canker sore" voice. But.......wow! What a movie! See it!

I went into the Dark Night with high expectations, not only for the movie as a whole, but also for Heath Ledger's performance. Talk of a posthumous Oscar nom seemed polite respect to the dead, and I was curious to see if it was over-hyped. It wasn't. Ledger's performance was unlike anything I've ever seen committed to the screen before. He created a character, not simply another version of the Joker but an entirely new persona. If Ledger does not win the Oscar for this performance, consider it robbery.

The movie is different than the other Batmans and excelent because it delivers a good message, that a hero that doesn´t die hero lives long enough to become a villain.
It was simple and filmed in Chicago which I liked a lot, and everything was done very well in the movie.
