This movie is like no other film...It was so sweet and gonna be very memorable to everyone that will go and see it. Heath Ledger did one incredible job as the Joker and no one will ever be able to replace him if they decide to continue with the Batman story. The movie was very action packed and very entertaining. I give it a 10 of 10

This is the best Batman movie to date. Bale provides another excellent performance. He is such a great actor. Heath Ledger was awesome as the Joker. It is a shame that he won't be around to do a sequel, if one was planned or would happen. Ledger's Joker was much better than Jack Nicholson's in the prior Batman movie. Gary Oldman and Aaron Eckhart also had great performances as well. Overall, this movie is the best I've seen in a long time. The theatre I went to was showing it in three auditoriums and all were sold out for the 8pm show the July 18th.

Besides all the hype about Heath Ledger in his role for this movie, the acting and subplots all merged together to make this a lasting history making movie not just for 2008, but to be in the top 10 of All time greatest movies made. The characters all worked together to have us believe in what was happening and either route for Batman to win (as always), or The Joker to make his point to Batman. Overall, it kept me in my seat all thru even being 2.5 hours long. Time Not wasted at all!

"The Dark Knight" is more than just a great superhero movie. It is a movie that explores ideas that are timeless--Does true evil exist? What is the appropriate response to such evil? What are we willing to sacrifice to shape our world?
Oh--and the movie kicks butt, too.
Heath Ledger, God rest his soul, delivers the performance of a lifetime. Christian Bale and Aaron Eckhart deliver Oscar-worthy performances as well. The direction and writing are very creative and deliver a story that leaves one in awe--both in its scope and its ability to twist the plot away from what one thinks is coming.

It is about time that Batman got a director who really understands what the hero is all about. Don't get me wrong Tim Burton did a great job with the first two films, but The Dark Knight is Batman at his best. At Batmans core is a dark dark persona created by the witnessing of his parents deaths. This is what drives Batman to fight crime the way he does. Constantly skirting the line of whats right and whats wrong to further his noble cause. Joel Schumacher was blind to this and decided to shape Batman into a lighter character who has gotten over his parents deaths. After those movies completely bombed, Christopher Nolan took the reigns and his last two Batman movies have been sheer brilliance. The Dark Knight shows Batman in his true element fighting doing whatever it takes to fight crime, but never stooping to its level. This move is a must see!

It showed a life real story rather than your regular comic superhero. There were wounds damages and the fact that not one man alone can do it all. The new batman shows reality how a man can inspire change and create people to change. The new gadgets were fantastic, as I am sure that any person that shares the love for new toys would agree with me. The joker, unfortunately will not have the chance to play the role again, however, was a magnificent acting of the part over all i love the movie to the fullest.

Batman was a total badass. Brought a new meaning to crimefighting. As for Joker. A complete psycho. He most definately brings a new meaning to that evil scary clown image! The way the movie portrayed Harvey "Two-Face" Dent was amazing. I felt his rage and anger, and I completely understood why he completely flipped. Such an amazing movie. Such action. I couldn't even take it at times, the adrenaline. Can't wait to watch it again in IMAX!

For the first time in the history of Batman movies, I was scared of the villain. We were able to see the madness in the eyes of the Joker that left you wondering what crazy deed he was going to do next. We also got to see the dark side of Batman, with the inner battle of Man VS Hero.
The passing of a great actor such as Heath Ledger is always sad, but if you are going to go out, this is definitely the piece to leave behind for the world to remember you by.

Very solid movie. IMO, it wasn't epic, but it was a good movie.
It honestly felt a little long, but I liked it being long. I actually wish more happened, but a lot did happen.
Good performance by the actors and very well put together by the others who worked on the movie.
I would definitely recommend seeing this movie. It does get a little twisted and violent, so the PG-13 rating definitely fits.
Go enjoy the movie if you haven't already!

In a word, Fabulous...if you're a fan of the comic books this movie is The One. The kitchy gimmicks from the previous Batman films aren't present, this is a film driven by characters not CGI. Stop reading this, go get a ticket and see it for yourself.

even though the Joker was the villian in the movie I personally thought that Heath Ledger before he past away, was at his best, his acting of the Joker was phenominal nobody else could have pulled it off as well has he did and ofcourse Christian Bale played his part very well and unexpectedly so did Aaron Eckhart ( I think that's who played the DA)

When audiences left theatres in 1992 after seeing Batman Returns bitching about it being too dark, those morons obviously didn't realize just how disturbed and black Batman could get. As much as I love the grittiness and complexity of that film, The Dark Knight makes it look like a light popcorn flick, and easily blows anything that came before it out of the water. Everything about this movie is stellar, including Heath Ledger's genius performance as the Joker, which is already getting genuinely deserved Oscar buzz. The character he creates and brings to life is a demented, sado-masochistic sociopath you can't help but marvel at, even as he makes you cringe with anxiety. It's the chaos he represents that keeps you from ever feeling at peace, and you wait for an explosion or gunshot or knife twist at any point, giving The Dark Knight a suspense to rival Hitchcock's best work. Christian Bale is once again the best actor to ever play Batman, and Aaron Eckhart turns in the best Harvey Dent imaginable. The fact that it relies on stuntwork and not computer graphics and the fact that it relies on a greatly written human story and not on gimmicks makes this Batman feel real. It really is without a doubt the best superhero movie ever made, and one of the best movies in recent memory.

As a typical movie fanatic, especially of the comic book to film genre, the dark knight was much much more than a comic book turn to film. It was pure terror seeing the late Mr. Heath Ledger portraying one of the most terrifying villains. Visions of his portayal still haunt me whenever I think of it. As for Chris Nolan, pure cinimatic genius. This has to be the only movie since Lord of the Rings that I've ever rated a perfect 10/10.

Incredible! Christian Bale is spot on, and all the hype about the late Heath Ledger doesn't begin to do justice to his dark, twisted portrayal of the Joker. You could hear the entire audience hush, shiver, giggle, and scream with fear in a 10 second clip with him onscreen! My only slight criticism is that the Joker's wickedness and depravity feels a little empty with only pg13 level blood and gore. Beyond that, the movie WELL surpassed my already tremendous expectations!

I am a huge Jack Nicholson fan...but Heath Ledger outdid him in the role of the joker. I'm not saying this to glorify him because he's passed away (God rest his soul) BUT because he gave the joker a whole new character, a new identity! He MADE the joker. The movie was a bit long, but definitely worth sitting through- I think they did right by not cutting anything out to shorten it. Every minute was good, packed with suspense, and action. Maggie Gyllenhaal did a great job picking up on Katies Holmes' role of Rachel- She actually gave that character a little more heart, if you ask me. Overall, it was a great film, don't take your kids to the theater to see it cause it's too long for a kid to sit still through. :) I love the Batman movies, all of them- but his one I have to say is now one of my favorites.
