I wasn't quite sure about seeing this sequel, too much hype about Heath and I also read that Aaron Eckhart was kind of "flat". Saw it last Friday and am ready to go again!
All characters were great-the Joker and Batman were terrific when together and on their own and Eckhart did a fantastic job!!
Go see it now!!

The Dark Knight gave the feeling of have seen if before. The three and a half hours dragged on with uninspired characters already portrayed in the series. Not a horrible movie by any means but left the viewer with the feeling of having witnessed a Aerosmith cover of a Beatles song. Just no reason to go there.

Excellent. It is rare that a movie builds and gets bets through the end. The Dark Knight gets better and soars through the climax. The Joker, played by the late Heath Ledger, is original and fantastically juxtaposes Batman as the instrument of Chaos.
My only complaint is that when Christian Bale goes from Bruce Wayne to Batman, his voice goes from human being to basso with digitally added menace. I prefer his voice in Batman Begins.

Awesome Movie! Packed house! I don't recommend sitting on the first three rows (too packed... had to sit where we could) but other than that, I loved it. Kept your attention. Even though it was 2 1/2 hours long, you didn't want it to end.

If there were only one good thing about this movie, it would be the role of the Joker and the brilliant intensity and meniacle realism that Heath Ledge brought to the role. He stole the show and had everyone forgeting it was Heath and forgeting the recent sad loss of his life. Thats how awesome his portrayal was. Second to that, long plot but worth the 2.5 hours even though I'm no cartoon to movie fan. Awesome and a sad reminder of the loss of such an amazing actor who truely embraced and mastered the craft or art of acting. There will be no other JOKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Batman Begins was an excellent interpretation of Batman. It was dark, with Batman being the only glimmer of hope in a desolate world. Director Christopher Nolan has outdone himself with The Dark Knight.
This movie was much darker psychologically. With a murderous psychopath emerging, a failed relationship continuing, and a sinister tale of revenge budding, this movie is very dark. Yes, it lives up to the hype. No, it was not what I expected at all. This is not a movie for the kids.
I have to at least say something about the late Heath Ledger. He gave a performace that was bone chillingly scary and great. He is the best Joker by far because the fear that I felt while watching the movie was very real. He will be missed.
All I have to say is bravo . . . bravo . . .bravo! Hope there will be a third film.

Going to the movies is expensive, especially in Chicago ($10.50 a ticket), but The Dark Knight was worth every penny. There were tons of great action sequences, a funny joke here and there, and most importantly, a fantastic storyline.
Growing up, I was not an avid Batman fan but like everyone, I knew the basics about the bad guys. What this movie does is gives you the background of the 2 major bad guys and how they came to be, while incorporating moral dilemmas and romance into the equation. It does an excellent job of doing that, and at such a good pace that everyone can follow it. The acting was superior, particularly by Ledger's 'Joker'. Once you see the movie you'll see why people are buzzing a bout him winning an Oscar for his role.
Additionally, there were so many unexpected twists here and there that you're always on the edge of your seat. Go see the movie. You'll love it.

Amazing!!!!! This movie was able to connect with the audience in a way an action film rarely ever has for me. Heath was absolutely breathtaking as the Joker. This film went above and beyond!!

I've been to almost every superhero movie there is and I have to say that this one actually lives up to the hype. The Dark Knight is the pennacle of the on-going new Batman series of our time and Heath Ledger's Joker beats Jack Nicholson's Joker hands-down. I will be watching this movie for the next few decades.

This movie was simply amazing. Heath Ledger fit the Joker character perfectly, it was smart to keep him in there. Very well and thought full plot. Had the basic plot of Joker vs. Batman, but took it to the next level, or up many levels. Fit perfectly for a sequel. A must see. Go see it!

This was an absolutely fantastic film that will not disappoint fans of dark psychological drama. The acting was superb and Heath Ledger's Joker was haunting. The special effects were fantastic and did not over shadow the tone of the story. It was an excellent movie going experience and I cannot wait until they make another.

The Dark Knight is brilliant due to one man: The Joker. Heath Ledger made this movie great and sadly, we will never see him again. I can't say anything bad about this film. The Dark Knight was absolutely amazing. I assumed by the trailers it would be good but damn. Health Ledger made this movie. I was not sold on him as the joker but I was wrong. This movie was action packed from beginning to end. The only thing bad i can say is the movie had to end. I assumed Ironman would be the the best movie this summer and it was great but I was wrong, not only was TDK the best movie of the summer it possibly was the best Superhero movie ever to grace the Big screen.
