I knew after watching Batman Begins that this was going to be the best of all the comic book movies. "The Dark Knight" solidifies that. Everything about this was perfect. The Nolan's pull off one of the greatest writer/director teams, the cast was spot on, including Heath Ledger's chilling performance of the joker which almost steals the show. The twist and turns of the plot, the exciting action sequences, and just seeing the huge scope of the movie as it was shot entirely on IMAX keeps you captivated the whole 2.5 hours. The only bad thing was that the movie had to end.

Movie well done. Heath Ledger's role as the Joker definetly lived up to the hype it got the last couple of months. Christian Bale's portrayal of Batman was incredible. Overall fabulous movie and one to see this summer!

What a ride! Everyone built this movie up so much I KNEW I was going to be disapointed. NO WAY! What an amazing job on everyone's part, and the world is going to miss Heath. He was so creepy I couldn't believe it was him. Just pure evil on the screen. Christian Bale is the greatest Batman ever, right down to the voice. Just an excellent movie.

The movie hits all the right notes without overly relying on super-hero cliches. It is the villains that make the movie - Eckhart and Ledger are superb while Christian Bale fills the suit well, but offers little more.

Heath Ledger was outstanding but overall thought 'Batman Begins' was much better. The plot was just OK and thought the movie was slow at times. Should have been a 2 hour movie.

The best non-stop action movie of all the Super Hero genre. Not every moment is lovable, but it is certainly cation packed and remarkable. Non-stop is the key word. It is a long movie - no time for a pitstop during the movie as you you will miss too much.

This movie was beyond my expectations. Although I was slightly annoyed at Christian Bale's "Batman", Heath Ledger's "Joker" was spot-on and downright amazing. Morgan Freeman and Maggie Gyllenhall were fantastic supporting players. I can't say enough about Heath Ledger's performance...from insanely funny to incredibly terrifying in .0001 seconds, he NAILED this part. The pacing was a little weird and there were times it felt like it was dragging, but it really was an amazing film. Yay!

You usually think movies like this are shot with many night scenes with all action happening in the dark. To the contrary this movie takes you outside your comfort zone with much of the action taking place during the daylight. Amazing acting and a great story. It's a shame that we will never see another Joker like this again...

This is what Batman is all about. The original movies can't touch these new Bale movies. This is how the comics originally portrayed Batman. I never thought it would be possible for someone to do better than Jack Nicholson, but Ledger brought the Joker to a whole new level.

This was the best superhero movie ever. Spiderman and Ironman don't even compare to the greatness of this movie. Dark knight just set a new bar for comic and action movies. Ofcourse the stand out of the movie was Heath Ledger, his performance was incredible. I would reccomend watching this movie a least twice in theatre. One last thing, there is nothing after the credits

I'm a lifelong comic book fan, with a 5500 piece collection, and growing, so I'm not the most umbiased of reviewers. With that said, though, this movie has unequivicably become one of my favorite movies of all time. Not just of this year, not just of the last 5 or 10, but all time. From the acting to the direction and camera work to the writing, this film does the impossible - take almost three hours of your undivided, completely rapt attention and never let you down once. I have seen this film twice already, and both times it was a sold out theater, and both times you could hear a pin drop, and in both instances I was seated near a full row of a serious moviegoers worst enemy - the dreaded teenager; though I feared for my moviegoing experience, both times it was a non-issue. This is a movie that even the casual moviegoer will want to see twice because it is so engrossing and densely packed. As a friend of mine put it, this film lets your brain realize what your stomach feels like after Thanksgiving dinner.

This is easily the best of all the Batman movies. Bale and Ledger are amazing and Ledger makes the Joker real, as a physco-path who happens to wear funny clothes and clown make-up, who represents the worst in society. The Joker and Batman are not the "cartoonish" characters from previous movies. One of the best of movies of the year.
