This movie is very good. I really liked how everything was done. Heath Ledger did a wonderful job with the Joker character. My only problem was how long the movie was. I expected at the end there would be some build up to the next movie but after 15 minutes I was done. It was almost as if they started another movie.

If you're not willing to exercise your brain while watching this movie you will become confused early on. So much going on, cutting back and forth to other subplots, etc.
Movie is shot a little on the dark side so you really have to stay focused to know where you are from scene to scene too.
Why is this person the leading lady...not very good looking at all. Her acting so so too. Must be another case of nepotism that you see in this industry so much.
A great JOKER in this episode carries the movie.
Overall, a fun , entertaining action movie, but at the end it leaves you wondering if two of the people are realy dead.

Batman may just be our new favorite superhero and the Joker our new favorite villain. The thematic elements in this movie speak to everyone's good//dark sides. We see good people venture to the dark side; we see good people make choices of honor; we see the darkest people affected by the lack of connections and love in their lives. I was not expecting to love this movie but I did! Bale is awesome as Bruce Wayne and Heath Ledger . . . it gives a person pause to see such brilliance in acting.

This movie was outstanding!!! Christian Bale is the BEST Batman to date and of course with faithful Alfred (Sir Michael Caine) they make an indomitable duo. Add to the mix Gary Oldman as Commissioner Gordon and the ensemble is complete. BUT Joker is so far beyond anything we've ever seen before that he steals the movie. The performance by Heath Ledger was amazing and frightening and just plain perfect! This is a must see movie!!

This was a good movie, very intense, very dark. Heath Ledger was fantastic, I was weary of the praise he has been getting and thought it must have a lot to do with his untimely death. However, I was impressed to see that his praises are well deserved. He is fenomenal.
I am also glad to see Maggie Glyenhall replace Katie Holmes, she is a much better actress.

Ledgers performance in this movie is one of the best i've seen anyone ever do. he is so mesmerizing in the role of joker. its going to be damn near impossible for anyone to top his performance as a villain. for the next movie i would especially love to see johnny depp play The Riddler...

I've seen this movie twice now, once in IMAX when it released and once in a regular theater. GO see this movie in IMAX!!!!! Its sooo much more fulling visually. It just blows you away. Great Movie. I took my 8 year old son, who, with some discretion in certain scenes, was able to sit through this longer than usual movie on the edge of his seat right along with me and my boyfriend (a long time Batman fan) --how could we not?! The movie itself is phenomenal but the experience of seeing it in the theater cannot be matched! I would recommend this movie even to new followers of the Batman series of films, cartoons, comics or whatever. Seeing Batman Begins will help answer some questions and give you an appreciation for the story as it continues to unfold--so you can 'get the whole picture' on the Big Picture (sorry, couldn't resist!). And ladies, I have to add that if for nothing else, you need to see this movie just to watch Christian Bale own this character and bring the 'man' to Batman...like I said, I can't wait to see it again!

Clearly the Batman franchise learned from their mistake on the first go-round. This movie is unreal from beginning to end, which you think is sooner than it is. If you werent mourning the lose of Heath L. already you will be now. An Oscar worthy performance for sure. The true Batman fan will be very happy with this movie for sure.Cant wait to see it again.

truly engrossing from opening scene to closing credits. This movie has something for everyone the action sequences are first rate the dialogue is witty and well written the acting is superb I will see this movie at least two more times just to capture the full flavor of the experience and I will definately buy the dvd to add to my collection

Good, but maybe overhyped, I don't know. Heath Ledger was great, one of the best villans ever portrayed. I just felt the editing was very choppy which annoyed me at times. I felt that although Batman Begins wasn't as much of a summer blockbuster and didn't provide the interesting bad guys like two-face and joker it flowed better and had a more interesting story. Don't get me wrong I thouroughly enjoyed the Dark Knight, maybe I expected too much.

this is THE most wonderful batman movie yet. its a shame that heath ledger won't be able to reprise the joker any more the only one i can think who can do the joker is Nicolas Cage. but he would have some big shoes to fill.

I've only seen one of the Batman movies and that was the first one with Michael Keaton and thought I'd take a chance since everyone has been telling me how great Dark Knight is. All I can say is "Wow!" I was in awe. Heath Ledger's version of the Joker was amazing. He blew Jack's version out the window.
The movie itself is excellent, a lot of action.
fast paced. I didn't even notice the 2 hr. 30 min length.
I highly recommend seeing this movie. You
won't be disappointed.

I'm a chick flick movie watcher, but I just had to see this movie b/c of all the hype, and not to mention i'm kinda addicted to Batman movies. So my husband and I rushed out and bought Batman Begins on DVD, watched it, then went to the theatre. Loved every second of it! Ledger was amazing, just as everyone else says he is. Bale shows more emotion and really gets to show off some of his talent in the movie. Gyllenhal was way better than Katie could ever hope to be. I dreamed about it all night b/c I was still so hung up on it when I got home. Friends all sat around the den talking about what the next movie might be like, what characters we think may return and re-hashed some of what we saw. Truely amazing work. Well done!

Another excellent, dark and edgy comic adaptation by Mr. Nolan. Perfmances are great all around... with the possible exception of Maggie Gyllenhall who (IMO) was trying a little too hard to replicate Katie Holmes the actress rather then Rachel Dawes the character. Like the first Nolan Batman... not at all appropriate for young children expecting a fun filled superhero adventure. Heath Ledger's Joker is tremendous and owns the audience every moment he is on screen. Bring on the third installment.

This movie was awesome! I barely realized that 2 1/2 hours had passed by the end. Several mini themes ran through the main theme and the special effects help make the excitement real. It was a WILD RIDE! Heath Ledger was awesome too! He nailed this role! It's very sad he won't be able to reprise it! GO SEE THIS FLICK!

The sad thing is that "The Dark Knight" will be remembered not for Batman but the refreshing new take on the Joker by the later Heath Ledger.
The movie it self was greatly entertaining. Plenty of action sequences, gun fighting and explosives to satisfy the action buff. But the true star of the movie was Ledger. Past performances of the oker were played as a over the top flamboyant gangster. This time he is insane!!! Truly a mad man, one who only wants to watch the world burn.... But dont take my word for it, see it your self

Heath is brilliant and scary and deserving of the Oscar. Incredibly shot film. Superb acting by all. Intense, exciting, scary and beautifully done. Hopefully Oscar won't write it off because it's a 'superhero' film.
