Heath Ledger as the joker was superb. The action was continuous, there was no dull moment in the movie, and you can never figure what is going to happen next. Aaron Eckhart as two face Harvey was wonderful. Needless to say Christian Bale as Batman, OMG. I would have liked someone else as Rachel, instead of Maggie Gyllenhaal, her acting seemed forced and she looks to homely for the hunks in the movie.

Heath Ledger was remarkable as the Joker! He was completely in character. I couldn't tell it was him. Christian Bale is an excellent Bat Man. I am definitely going to see it again.

Terrific movie I would se it again the joker heath ledger was great and should get an award, he was very believable and Christian Bale and the rest of the cast were very very good. With a great story and an ending that left you wondering what is next and wanting more.

The last batman movie, batman begins, was good and I thought it was the best so far until I saw this one. Heath Ledger's last role was his best. He was the joker he had the laugh, the mind set and everything about him perfect. I think Heath did a better job as the joker than Jack Nicholson. This has to be one of the best movies I have seen in a long while.

The Dark Knight did not live up to all the hype. While Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker was brilliant, the movie seemed to drag out and the story-line seemed vague. Additionally, even though the story was told by the same director and producer, there was less reliance on special effects and more on reality in the props and portrayals of the city, which was a fundamental change in the backdrop and departure from the previous film.
As for concerns regarding the "darkness" of Heath Ledger's role, I did not find it any darker than the roles we have all seen in horror movies; and I find it hard to believe that Heath went over the edge because of this role. Having said that, I would put Heath's portrayal of Joker in the league of Anthony Hopkins' portrayal of Hannibal Lector.

This was a very good film. My one complaint was that it was a bit long. Living in Chicago, it was a treat to see so many of the City's notable buildings playing a part in the action.

The action in The Dark Knight is outstanding, as expected. You will be gripping the arm of your seat (or neighbor) during much of the movie. But the best part of this movie is the interaction between Batman and The Joker. Heath Ledger is excellent and creepy. There are a couple of scenes with him and Christian Bale which are the heart and soul of the movie. It may not be the best movie ever made, but it is WELL worth the price of the ticket. Oh, and don't bother getting popcorn, you'll forget it's in your hands as the action ramps up.

Im not a huge action hero fan but this movie was AWESOME!! I highly recommend it. There are some pretty graphic scenes not appropriate for younger kids and it was a little on the longer side but I would see it again in a heartbeat!

Words Can't Describe this movie, packed with Action and things you don't expect! The Joker is Unbelievable! He was my favorite part, he was INSANE and scared the CRAP out of me, yet when he wasn't around, I wanted to see him again, he was captivating and I couldn't get enough! and Christian Bale was GORGEOUS!

I thought the movie was breath taking, and kept you on the edge of your seat. You didn't know what was going to happen next. I thought Heath Ledger played a brilliant Joker. I think this was a more complex Batman in this movie, that I liked. I am sure there will be another to come.

This one really is arguably the best of the Batman series, and it is a can't miss. Even if you're not a fan of the series, this one takes a more serious tone and has an awesome, classic good vs. evil showdown. The Normans really know how to compose a movie. Christian Bale did pretty good as the dark knight, though his voice as the Batman annoyed me a bit, and yes, oh yes, Mr. Ledger knocked the Joker out of the park. Critics aren't just being nice to the late Heath, he really did become the character. Good show!

I had the same satisfaction as I did after watching 'Ironman'. I was expecting to be disappointed as I do with many sequels (ie. 'Hellboy, Raiders') but 'The Dark Knight' delivered on so many levels: action, story, acting, production value, teasers... toss in the whole 'adult themed, dark value' from the comics and it becomes a recommended movie. The director doesn't play down to the audience but rather challenges them to keep up and hold on. My only complaints are the poor choice of (plain Jane)Maggie Gyllenhal and Batman's annoying lyspe. Other than that, stellar performances all around.
