This is the best movie of the summer.
It is 2.5 hours, but there is no dead time.
It is very enjoyable.
It is better than Batman Begins.
It is also dark.
Do no bring any child under 10 to this movie.

this was one of the best movies i have saw in years. It is over 2 1/2 hours but they go very fast. You should see this movie just to witness the wonderful performance by Heath Ledger. I have not saw an actor put so much in a character in a lot of years. i hope he gets an Oscar as he should but too bad he is not here to receive all the praise. Once again go see this movie!!!!

Totally loved the movie!! Heath Ledger was awesome... Never can get enough super heros keep em commin... Batman is the bomb. Can't wait for DC to team up with Marvel... Batman, Iron Man, the Hulk etc ... Would make a hell of a movie.

The Dark Knight was absolutely incredible! As a whole, all of the actors were amazing but Batman was not the star of the show. The true star was The Joker played by the late Heath Ledger. Everyone likes to go out with a bang and Heath truly did that with this movie. It was one of the most impressive roles I've ever seen from him and he's had some amazing movies. He made the audience love the bad guy no matter how sick and twisted he was. This movie will definitely win many awards thanks to everyone's great performance.

I thought that this movie was phenominal. I'm not saying this because Heath Ledger passed away, but he played his role amazing. I've never ever seen such great acting. I loved the movie and will be going out again soon to see it. I don't really like superhero movies that have a sequel or have been made before, like spiderman 2 or 3. But this movie was amazing and I can't wait for the DVD release. I recommend it to all.

Excellent cast all giving a strong performance. Heath Ledger as the Joker is particularly outstanding. Good action movie but it is much deeper than just being an action movie.

excellent vision- nolan has created a fresh, dark and exhilirating version of the classic and gritty gotham city. very well written characters and story line. just enough of everything one would want out of a movie like this. Heath Ledger's take on the Joker was better than anything I could have expected- what a psycho!! all the parts were played to an exquisite degree.

Simply put, I dont think I'll ever watch another movie. I know I wont enjoy them as much as I enjoyed TDK. I plan on watching it 4 or 5 more times before the DVD releases.

Heath Ledger drew you in to his character so well and didn't even realize it. parts of the movie was raw and even uncomfortable and yet i still wanted to see Batman step over the edge just a little. Excellent movie!

It was a great movie. All the elements pulled together to form an amazing film. It is dark and disturbing and very well written. All the characters -from Alfred to Rachel to of course Joker and Batman, but also Harvey and Gordon- are 3 dimensional and you see a darkness and a fight of good and evil within the characters themselves that no other movie so far has shown. This is not a kid's movie, this is not a comic book based movie for children. It is disturbing and the situations that are created and portrayed convey real life in much of the big cities we live in today. As it's a DC Comics and Hollywood production it still has all the bang that you would expect from a summer movie. Enjoy it!

Expectations were exceeded.
Eyes were glued.
The hype was real.
There are plot holes that im hoping will be included on a directors cut dvd in the near future that did not derail the movie at all.
I have a feeling this movie was closer to 3 hours anyway.
There is no way Warner isnt going to expect a follow up.
The question is how?!
Ledgers death aside Knight is a cinematic triumph that can never be lived up to without tranishing the near perfect achievment Nolan & Co.reached.
Unless the looong rumored Batman/Superman project finally gets green lit.
Personally I think thats the only way to go.
I dont want to ever see another Joker & I def dont want the campy tounge in cheek Batman back either.
Also a direct sequal based on Two Face or some other villian would seem like cheating.
Its seems pretty obvious The Joker had legs in Nolans world & that this was meant to be the start of something new hence no origin story.
Great movie guys goodluck with the backlash.

I took my kids to see this at 10:20 at night and thought I'd made a big mistake, but they (and I) were totally into it even though we got out close to 1:00 in the morning!  Definitely the best Batman yet in large part thanks to the Joker!

Like the title says, this movie sets the standard. Not only should "comic book" movies look up to this, all movies should.
"Dark Knight" transcends the genres of "comic book" and "superhero" movies to tell an engrossing story. Everything about this movie clicked. The acting all-around was incredible; it wasn't just Heath's performance (though I don't know if they could ever bring Joker back in a future film with Heath gone, he's that good). And all I can say about Chris Nolan; he's the man!
Long story short; go see this movie, and see it several times.

This movie was Great but one complaint. It was a bit too dark for me. Batman is not my favorite comic book character.The best thing about this movie, by far was Heath Ledger, and i'm not just saying that because of the unfortunate events. He was Funny, and yet scary enough to haunt your dreams. Most of the time you couldn't even tell that it was him! I would definitely recommend this movie, but wait 'till the hype calms because the theaters are crazy!
