The best Batman. Heath Ledger as The Joker stole the show and showed terror and humor aren't far apart. It will be tough to find someone to to bring Gothem to it's knees like he did.

The joker is the one to watch in this movie. His acting was spectacular. Batman was OK, the love story plot did not fully develop in my opinion, but overall the movie was the best I've seen in a while.

I am not a typical super hero movie goer but this movie was amazing. The acting was fantastic Heath was amazing and it has inspired me to rent other super hero movies to enjoy. From a movie stand point this has to be one of the best ever made!

This movie was simply amazing to watch. The plot wasn't extraordinarily thick, but it had good twists. IT was quite long, but it did not drag. I wouldn't recommend sitting too close, however. It can be quite an eyeful.

This movie was EX- CELL- LENT: For this to be from a comic book the producers have done a wonderful job. But Batman didn't make the movie the Jocker did. He is what kept up the aticipation and suspence. I would recommend this movie to anyone. A little long but worth it. I just want to know did Harvey Dent did or do we have another one coming. ??????????

Outstanding movie. Heath Ledger is deliciously wicked in his final role. The entire film is perfectly conceived and is worth every minute. Some intense scenes too much for younger kids.
No doubt this will be a blockbuster all the way. Ledger really should get an Oscar nomination at least.

I am not usually one of these gay guys who stand outside the theater 3 days before a superhero movie comes out (star wars, etc) but I saw such good reviews on this, I am glad I went and saw it. One of the best action movies, not just superhero, but action movies made. Two thumbs up.

I have been looking forward to this movie since it was announced last year, and was not disappointed in the least. By far the best movie I have seen in several years. Heath Ledger gave the best performance of his career, and I am saddened that he will not be able to play in a sequel. The cast was fantastic. Maggie Gyllenhall was the only actress that I felt didn't fit her character, but she gave a decent performance nonetheless. Several points in the movie left my entire body tingling. The drama and emotion in this movie are just as good as the action. Five stars and both of my thumbs are way up! And I will definitely be seeing it again.

As a Batman, comic, and graphic novel fan I feel that movie does justice to the characters and story. It erases the mistakes of the non Michael Keaton movies and allows Christian Bale to take on the stewardship of the role. Heath Ledger's Joker is an unexpected surprise. He tore the character from the pages of the best of the literary examples and added in a little Cesar Romero and Jack Nicholson for good measure. My only minor disappointment was the limited use of Two Face especially given the fantastic rendition of the character by Aaron Eckhart. Go see the movie!!

Dark Knight is a powerful and deeply brooding film about the dark recesses of human nature. Heath had a captivating performance as the Joker and the plot twists kept the audience engaged throughout the entire 2.5 hours! Great storyline/script and congrats to Christopher Dolan and the crew for a great film. Can't wait for the next one!

overall a great job of converting The Dark Night Detective comic book series of the 80s ( i believe that is the era at least) to film... Much darker than the earlier Batman movies though so if you like that stylization of Batman, then you probably will not like this one as much.
The Joker was perfect as far as being dark and twisted and they finally played into the morality that Wayne faces as he ages.
Only warning about this film that i would give is that it is in no way suitable for young children and am honestly suprised that it was only rated PG-13 with the amount/type of violence.

The Dark Knight was a movie that kept you on the edge of your seat wondering what the Joker would do next. The special effects were spectacular. Heath Ledger played the most disturbing and diabolical Joker ever. Christian Bale was also as good as he was in "Batman Begins". This was the movie of the summer for 2008.
