This movie lived up to its hype plus some. The only thing I didn't care for was Maggie Gyllenhal. I just think she's over-rated. Other than that this movie was phenomenal. Christian Bale and Heath Ledger were excellent. If I didn't already know that Ledger was playing the Joker I would have had no clue it was him...long way from A Knight's Tale. It is very dark and not a kid's movie at all. Top Notch

The hype is all true. It is the best movie of the summer, possibly the year. Christian Bale was made for the role of The Batman. Heath Ledger excuted the role of the Joker flawlessly - giving the most accurate portrayal of what the Joker really is. Aaron Eckhart was great as well. Superb cast, supberb acting. Action lasted from start to finish. Don't drink your soda gone in the first half hour - you won't want to leave your seat to visit the bathroom. You WILL miss something critical!

"The Dark Knight" was an incredible portrayal of the complementing struggle of Batman vs. The Joker. As shown in the comic books, the Joker is comparable to Lex Luthor, in that he is a villain that Batman can not get rid of no matter how much pain and suffering he has caused. Apart from the epic struggle between our Superhero vs. the Villain, the overall cinematography of the movie was brilliantly done, showing a much darker side of the Joker and his insanity. While Christian Bale and Aaron Eckhart did great in their roles, I believe the Heath Ledger stole the film with his haunting role as the Joker. In conclusion, I believe that this is by far the best super hero movie by far and would recommend it to fans and average movie goers alike.

This movie is visually stunning and the acting is exceptionally good for the genre, but at two and a half hours it's too long. Heath Ledger is fantastic as the Joker.

The Dark Knight is an exceptionally haunting film inspired by some of the very best graphic novels pertaining to DC's iconic hero. Can't say enough good things about the late Heath Ledger's performance. His rendition of Jonah Nolan's 'magic trick' will go down as one of the legendary scenes in cinematic history. Mark my words! You just can't take your eyes off of Ledger's Joker!
It just goes to show that when you have a brilliant script and director (thank Jonah and Chris Nolan for that), in addition to a top notch cast, you simply cannot miss!
Kudos to Aaron Eckhart whose acting delivery was nothing short of brilliant! Maggie Gyllenhaal expectedly breathes much needed life into the character of Rachel Dawes and Christian Bale proves once and for all that he is, without a doubt, The Dark Knight.
Go see this movie and prepare to have your senses overwhelmed! A dark victory indeed.

This is one of those movies that you know is going to be awesome going into it, and you leave the theater thinking how awesome it just was. It's just one of those well spent $10 adventures ($20 if you have a girlfriend, and zero if you're lucky)
You get hooked into the movie in the first 20 seconds, and then two and half hours later you breathe. Heath Ledger's performance in this movie is on the verge of scary. I've never seen crazy so up close and personal-- he became the joker.
Right when you think the movie is over, it'll hit you in the face and pick back up again. The plot has so much substance, if you're like me, you'll get a few character surprises that you didn't expect.
It would have been nice to see more of Bruce Wayne. His few comedic lines are on the verge of perfection. Two of which I hope I can use one day-- haha. It was feeling like a long movie, but I really don't think I would change a frame.
This viewer will be anxiously awaiting an encore!

A well constructed, well organized film, The Dark Knight did not disappoint. The action was non-stop from the first scene to the last. Every character is played to point that you may forget you're watching a movie- especially the role of Harvey Dent. And though Batman has become known for a somewhat obnoxious cheesiness, the film continues from Batman Begins and embraces the seriousness of the original comics. Very intense, mind consuming film. Highly recommended.

With the way that the theme of the movie was and its content this movie could have easly been an R rated movie but the editing was so good. You had no sexual scenes and only mild blood and guts. This movie did nt need any of that! It was excellant

Excellent movie, the best batman movie to date. Not all parts of the movie are predictible. Actors roles aren't overacted, except Ledger's Joker role, which was extremely convincing of a crazy psychopathic killer with a desire for choas. Ledger is a better Joker then Nicholson, and has acting was so good he should be considered for nomination for best actor. Well worth the price of admission, the audience was in awe and amazement from the first appearance of the Joker until the very end, and there were no slow parts of the movie. A must see movie. *****
