"The Dark Knight," now one of my favorite movies. It blows your mind through every minute you spend watching the exciting suspence and action. The most important to say here is: You will never regret paying for that pricey movie ticket to see "The Dark Knight."
As I saw this the first showing at the Ultra Screen in Madison, WI, my movie experience was great. I found that my bad seats did not provide any hindrance in my movie experience.
All i have to say to readers is that you must see this movie, it will really be worth all the money.

This movie deserve all the hype that it was getting. Great story line, it started out slow at first with less action but it's like that to build the story. Heath Ledger is simply amazing and is definitely the best Joker ever.

So few movies live up to the hype machine that surrounds them, The Dark Knight, however, is an exception to the rule.
Comic book adaptations have gotten so much better over the last few years, movies like Spiderman, X-Men, and most recently Iron Man have been able to bring in and entertain fans who are not comic book junkies unlike any before them...this "film" takes it to another level. The Dark Knight was more like a great action/drama/crime movie that just happened to have some comic characters involved in the story...it was awesome! The story was great, the action sequences were top notch and the acting perormances were the best ever seen in the comic book movie genre. Christian Bale is the best Batman to date and don't be a fool like I was before I saw the movie, thinking Heath Ledger's performance was over-hyped due to his death, if anything they didn't give the guy enough credit...he was frighteningly creepy. Go See This Movie!

Excellent! Heath Ledger was phenomenol as the really skeezy Joker. Not for young viewers. Story line was great - I don't want to ruin the story for anyone, but one thing had me bummed - Why Commissioner Gordon's son and not daughter, Barbara (who is later Batgirl)? You'll know where this question comes from after you see the movie. Worth seeing twice!

Christian Bale & Heath Ledger are great. I like this new Batman series. A lot darker than the others. Movie is way too long. Dragged on and on. Bordering on being overdone. Would not see again just because of the length.

The Joker was positively EVIL and Heath Ledger played it to the hilt. The audience was into it so deeply that you could have heard a pin drop. Action was non stop, and the tension NEVER let up from the get-go to the end. By the end of the movie we all hated the Joker so badly that everyone wanted to do him in personally. But alas, there was no finality to that, so I am sure that there will be a sequel. However, it will be most difficult to replace Ladger, now that he is gone from this world.
What I liked about this movie besides the action, was that the computer graphics looked absolutely real, and it did not have a comic book feel in spite of the DC Comics heritage, and the whole thing made me feel like all this was really possible.

Took my kids to see it Saturday. Great for adults but parts may be a little harsh for kids. Plot was bullet proof and well planned. I am planing to go again and I NEVER do that.

"The Dark Knight" is not just the best Batman movie ever made. Nor is it one of the best superhero movies ever made. It is without question one of the greatest crime dramas told in motion picture history. Hopefully it will be remembered by the Academy next year. The movie pulls you in from the opening scene and never lets loose. You can feel the tension ramping as the characters all struggle to stand up for what they believe in -- whether for the good of the city or it's certain destruction.
All of the acting performances in this film are perfect, but it's the late Heath Ledger who has gone beyond simply acting and became The Joker. I have seen lots of movies in my day and I struggle to remember if I have ever seen an actor transformed in the character they were portraying. Never did I think that was Ledger behind the streaky clown facade, but just a homicidial sociopathic freak whose only wants chaos to rule the city.
They will be hard-pressed to top this film with the next installment, but for the time being savor the film as great entertainment on a grand scale.

This film makes all of it's predecessors in this franchise look like a cartoon. Christopher Nolan truly understands the material and brings us the greatest, most complete, and most satisfying Batman story ever told.
This is not a comic book movie. It's not even a Batman movie, which is why the word "Batman" is suspiciously absent from the title. This film has more in common with The Godfather than it does Iron Man. The story is meaningful. The characters are fleshed out and are representative of larger concepts than just themselves. There is not just a great action movie or showcase for great acting on display here, but it is also a comment on our Human dilemma in modern society.
No, you've never seen a Batman movie like this before. Batman Begins was good, but this one is in a whole different league. And as far as Heath Ledger's performance is concerned...believe the hype. He is amazing in this, hands down. Against all odds and vocal fan-boy outcry, he turned a simple comic-book villain into a career-defining role, which makes his death all the more tragic. He would have been exhaulted by all after this, had he lived.
Bale, Caine, and Freeman turn in a second round of solid and entertaining performances, while Oldman takes his relatively minor supporting role to a whole new level of emotion and believability. Gyllenhall is a much-preferred stand-in for Katie Holmes (much more believable as a big city Assistant D.A.), and Eckhart makes a great Harvey Dent who you really feel for.
This is by far, the best movie of the summer and just might be the best of the year. Don't let the summer release date fool you. This film has both weight and depth and is on par with some of the best Oscar-fare we've seen over the years.
And thank you, Mr. Nolan for expertly crafting and perfectly executing the Batman movie we'd all been waiting so long for.

This was by far one of the best movies of this summer. The storyline was terrific, and the performances were excellent. I especially enjoyed Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker. I thought it was worthy of an oscar nomination. It may even win best supporting actor. My wife and I talked about this movie for hours after we left. We can't wait for the next Batman installment. We want to see where the story goes next. Too me, that makes a great movie. I recommend this to anyone who can handle a little violence and psychotic behavior. Definitely a must see!

This movie easily makes it to the Top 10 of Movies of this Decade... the performance of Heath Ledger is not an overstatement or sympathetic posthumous recognition -- he is so real in his performance you cringe, laugh, get afraid, get horrified... basically you go through every spectrum of emotion during each scene that he is involved. Although the remaining characters are duller and pale in his comparison, he lights up the scene with each entry and unexpected turn. Definite MUST SEE --- and talk about one of the best stunts ever filmed -- the truck chasing scene.... WOW!
This movie is for every lover and non-lover of super-heroes because it is realistic, humanistic, and is a classic case of how good v evil does not necessarily have to end in a cliche, overused happy ending.
My theater clapped a loud and deafening roar at the end - and it was well deserved.

Not only was this the best Batman movie ever made, it's also a great movie for all to watch and enjoy. It's not just for followers of the Dark Knight, but I would recommend this movie for anyone who likes to go to the movies and be entertained.
Heath Ledger was eerily incredible as the Joker. When I first heard he was cast for the role, I had my doubts, but he made me a believer. Although, the two movies had totally different tones, there is absolutely NO comparison between Ledger's Joker and Nicholson's.
