Amazing movie. The Dark Knight lives up to it's hype and then some. Ledger is simply amazing as the Joker. For the first time ever watching Batman I felt fear while looking at the madman in a purple suit.
The cast is perfect with witting punch lines to lighten the mood. and the action is intense and real.
Didn't care for the Bat Pod or what ever they are calling it. Just because it's a new Batman doesn't mean it has to have a new ride in it.

I love that it is a real drama rather than a campy cartoonish take. Heath Ledger - FANTASTIC - he won't get an oscar nod - but he played the the Joker to a T - complete psychopath. Keep making the movies like this.

As with other recent movie franchise remakes, Dark Knight revisits and reinvents the classic Batman saga. It appeals to current audience demands and expectations by reintroducing Bruce Wayne as not only the dark hero, but the deeply conflicted hero. The movie forgoes the kitschy and absurd for the conflicted and disturbed. It lacks the cheap humor or thrills typical of this franchise, replacing them with a modern intensity and drama.

"The Dark Knight" is by far the best non-animated Batman movie yet. Other than a few minor quibbles, this movie does everything right. Bale & Ledger are really good, and Aaron Eckhart & Gary Oldman are excellent. While clocking in at almost 2 1/2 hours, this movie moved so briskly that it felt like 90 minutes.

This movie was intense and spectacular. It was not just great because the late Heath Ledger was, by far it was terrific, and the Joker stole the spot light from the Batman. Highly recommended, I am going to go see the movie again, but in IMAX this time.

Very good effects combined with phenomenal acting for every character except Harvey Dent. He was good, just not as good as the others. I am excited to see the Batman movies again. Between the direction of Christopher Nolan and the "off the charts" acting of Bale and Ledger, it will be difficult to top this movie. Batman is human, has a history and emtions can get to him. Go watch this movie, you will not be left disappointed.

This movie was down right amazing!! The best comics movie I have ever seen by a long shot. Heath Ledger's performance trumps Jack Nicholson's and much more! It is unbelievable what he did with the character of the JOKER

.....that's all I could manage to say after seeing the movie. It felt a little weird seeing Heath Ledger, but his performance was amazing. It's hard to compare his Joker to Jack Nicholson's; they're too different. Jack seemed to make his Joker fun...dangerous, but more comical. Heath on the other hand, sinster and psychopathic are the two words that come to mind when thinking of his Joker. I mean the part where he makes "the pencil disappear," simply amazing!! I loved every minute of this movie and I plan to see it again very soon.

I saw the movie with my teenage kids and we all loved it. We are big Heath Ledger fans and we were both sad, becuase he can't return for another episode and astonished becuase he was great. The whole movie was excellent. Well worth the price of admission.

Hurray for the joker. Chaos keeps us in check. Those who rely on the need of order for purpose and those who recognize that the same order enslaves us to the few elites who get to tell us what that order will be. This Movie combines all previous movie genre of Good VS Bad over the past 4 decades, makes it relavent to this decade and gives movie lovers the best picture of the year.
Best movie theater experience I have in 7 yrs. No disappointment here. Lives upto the HIPE!!
Of all the great westerns, Heros, and DC Comic movies the Dark Knight portrays the Morality VS. Evil on mnay levels the obvious Hero VS Badguy, the inner struggle of the same individually, and collectively as society.

Once again, Christopher Nolan took a well-loved and fanboy adored story and turned it into a three-dimensional thriller. Christian Bale reprised his Batman Begins role as the Dark Knight and proved what a great actor he is. He once again brought the character to life on the screen - and played him with even more intensity than in the original movie.
Of course, Heath Ledger as the Joker is much talked-about (even Oscar buzzed!) and I'd have to agree with everything. His performance upped the ante for every future film villain. It's too bad he isn't around to receive the acclaim he deserves for his Joker.
I was also very happy to see Gary Oldman get a much meatier role than in Batman Begins. He's such a great actor and he really brought real humanity to the role of Commissioner Gordon.
The other actors did similarly excellent work in this film but it'll take way too long to go through them individually.
All in all, I LOVED this movie. Was well worth waiting for!

Movie was a little too long for me, it needed more Joker and Christian Bale overdid his voice a bit as Batman. Effects were great. Joker was crazy but fabulous.
Alot of people are saying everyone thinks he was awesome just because he is dead, I dont think so. I knew I wanted to see this one even before he died. He did a great job.
