This movie was good because it had several plot lines that were all tied together. The plot was exciting and unexpected at times. Several key characters died that were unexpected. This made the movie more interesting. The ending was a different twist showing Batman as a vigilanted being chased instead of a hero. This was good.

I liked 'The Dark Knight', I think Christian Bale is a great Batman, I prefer Maggie Gyllenhaal to Katie Holmes, Heath Ledger's Joker was perfectly demented and it was refreshing to see Gary Oldman as a good guy. The downsides were it was about 30 minutes too long and it could have used more character building of Dent & Gordon. Overall, very entertaining movie for anyone over 13.

The Dark Knight is a must see movie. All of the actors did a wonderful job! Heath Ledger was phenominal as the Joker! You get so lost in his character you forget it's him. The movie did a great job of surprising the audience, while keeping the darkness and the humor going throughout! It's definitely the best Batman so far!

It was a great movie, go see it but don't make time or sacrifice something to go watch it. Only watch it if you have time.
I mean sure it's a great movie but it's not as good as everyone else says it was.
Great theatrical effects and great hero story but the plot was simply different.
Maybe reading the comics will give people a better understanding but in my opinion the plot was simply "different" than the normal story plot. There were like 3 sections (plots) that are somewhat connected and somewhat flows but it was simply weak. Not a strong story line but a good hero movie.

The movie was pretty good. Great performance by Heath ledger. Gotham is still riddle with crime and the harvey Dent/twoface character transsformed from good to evil will this be the next batman? Batman's voice was a little to scary.

The movie was worth the hype and the long line! Christian Bale is a great Batman and Heath Ledger plays a very creepy Joker. Twists and turns keep you at the edge of your seat for the full 2.5 hours. I can't wait to buy the movie!

The movie had me on the edge of my seat. Heath was an incredible Joker and very believable,sometimes funny and almost likable. The chase scene in lower Wacker Drive was as good as legendary movies!! You never thought you were sitting through a 2 1/2 hr. movie. A great ride.

Not since Star Wars episode I had I been so excited for a movie release. Never before had my excitement been so well placed. This film invoked 2.5 hours of shock and awe. The only thing I can compare Heath Ledger's Joker to is Anthony Hopkins' Hannibal Lector and that may be selling him short. Bale is, as usual, genius. Eckhart's brilliant performance is the icing on an already delicious cake.

This movie is everything that people expected for it to be and more. Heath Ledger did an outstanding job as The Joker and Christian Bale went above and beyond his last performance as The Batman. The story was great, the delivery was great, everything was great. The movie was a great combination of action, drama, comedy and suspense. It kept me on the edge of my seat! One of the finest films I've ever seen. Rarely do sequels matter so much, or exceed the artist vision already set forth, but this film does. All the characters are so vivid. They draw the viewer in. The Joker is pure horror and genius. The cinematography and story are gold, and the music adds the pulse to this blood pumping film.

Growing up and watching the batman movies, my favorite used to be the second one, "Batman Returns" with Catwoman and the Penguin. Not only did the Dark Knight change that, it also showed what acting talents the entire cast had especially Christian Bale and Heath Ledger. Christian is undoubtadly the BEST Batman there has ever been and Heath put a phenonminal spin on the Joker. Both Harvey Dent and the Joker leave room for their characters to return but I dont know how they would ever replace or duplicate the performance that Heath gave to that role. This was a great movie, true to the comic, and it re-ignited my love for the Batman series.
