You must have heard everything that is good about the movie so far, let's review some of the pitfalls in the movie.
Harvey Dent's character is completely overshadowed by Joker and Batman. Whenever we want more of Joker the Harvey character comes and spoils the show.
Spoilers are simply too less which makes the movie "almost" perfect.

The one thing that stands out above all else in this movie is Nolan's decision: do I make a movie that fans want... or that fans need?
In his sequel, Nolan goes step by step to give the story what it should have. What begins on a hopeful note descends quickly into night, and ends before dawn.
I can't say whether I'd rather see a storyline compacted and rushed or stretched painfully into two movies. Nolan opted for the first--and I'm very happy with the result.
Nolan treats his characters (and as a non-fanboy, I'd say they are his) with respect and integrity, and this in turn is echoed by every single actor in the movie.
So, did Heath Ledger stand out? No. The Joker, however, did. As Alfred says, "Some men just want to watch the world burn." The villain is a sociopath beyond sociapathy--his every action is on whim. His plans present short-term gains with big action--everyone and everything is expendable. This leaves the movie without a plot... but why would you want one with this guy?
Aaron Eckhart plays Harvey Dent in way that makes his transition from hero to villain absolutely flawless. His character flaws are apparent, but mean his strengths become his liabilities in the end. Nolan paints Two-Face as Joker's creation, a psycho's dream come to fruition.
With the promise of sunrise somewhere in the distance, Commissioner Gordan explains the how and why of it all. In the end, Nolan has helped to define and redefine terms like hero and villain, leaving the final judgment to the people.

The movie was well directed, and Heath's portrayal of the Joker was dead on. Even though the movie had 3 villains in it (Scarecrow, Two Face and the Joker) it was not as busy and overwhelming as it was with Spiderman 3. A must see summer movie.

One of the best movies I have ever seen. There should be multiple oscars. There will never be another actor that can do justice to the Joker. When Heath Ledger died, so did the Joker. Even if he hadn't died, he still should receive Best Actor Oscar. Excellent acting by all the actors, excellent/intense action/ cinematogrophy.

I always used to wonder why there weren't more comic book movies. Some of The stories are extraordinarily deep and cognitive. This one is bar none the best comic book movie released. Nothing against Nicholson, and "Batman" is still a great movie, but this one just blew it out of the waters. Bravo. Can't wait for more.

After seeing Batman Begins, I've been waiting to see if it one of those one hit wonder-revivals we see more often than not. After seeing this movie, I have faith again in comic book movies that almost all previous comic-movies pretty much destroyed. Seeing Christian Bale being outdone be Aaron Eckhart, and Heath Ledger, just wow..........Before this movie I wasn't a big Heath Ledger fan, but after seeing the first two seconds of him as the Joker, I got goosebumps and eagerly awaited the next scene he was going to steal. I honestly have never been more entertained, and frightened that a character like that was even thought up in the first place. I have to honestly say after a few minutes, all I could think about was "when were we gonna see the Joker again?".

BUY your ticket today. Get there at least an hour early and prepare to be blown away. Heath Ledger is iconic. The movie is 2 1/2 hours long but worth ever moment. I wouldn't bring a kid under 13 not becuase of graphic adult content but because this movie is too damn darker. If you know anything about the differences between Batman and the Dark Knight and you love the dark ... go see this movie now !!!!

It's often tough to tell, when going to see a popular new movie, how much of the acclaim is hype and how much is real movie goodness. Honestly, in the case of Dark Knight, I wasn't remotely worried. And the movie delivered - oh, how it delivered. The writing was top-notch, the acting phenomenal, and the action had intensity like I haven't seen in years. And the whole time, Ledger was freaking me out. I was completely sold. Now I can't decide if I want another sequel or if it should stop here. I don't know what it would take to top this one. Seriously, see it. And if you already have, see it again.

Got up early on Saturday to see The Dark Knight. It was well worth the lost sleep. Heath Ledger was awesome and Christian Bale is a worth wearer of the cowl. It's one of the best films I've seen all summer and I've recommended it to everyone I know. Great!

I knew this movie was going to rock, but I was blown away beyond my expectations.
It was emotional to watch knowing this was Ledgers last performance, esp. because he was so convincing and deeply invloved in his character.
He ruled this movie, owned it.
The story line was emotional as well.
Betrayal in abundance amoungst friends and comrads, the desperation to live, our perception of who should live and who should die, and who should choose.
I will see this money again and again.
It has some graphic moments, but also one of the most touching moments I have witnessed in a movie, given by the one person you are going to least expect it from.
you'll know when you see it, you will just know.

In my opinion, this is the best movie of 2008 so far. And its easily the best superhero film ever surpassing its predecessor; Batman Begins. A lot of movies don't live up to the hype. This one exceeds it with great acting, superb direction, and realistic action sequences. It will be a huge upset if Heath Ledger isn't at least nominated for Best Supporting Actor. And the movie may also merit a nomination for best score, visual effects, and maybe even Best Picture.
