Wow, you could not tell that this was a PG 13 movie. The drama, cinematography, twists, characters, special effects and story line was incredible. Not an empty seat in the theater. Heath Ledger was Oscar worthy and I believe this might create a cult following for the talented late actor. So good that I would see it again. Standing ovation!

I am a huge Batman fan, and although there were quite a few comic book inaccuracies *insert geek noise here* it was amazing. The characters were great, great cast selection. Beautiful. And I am most certainly going to see it again and again and again.

I cannot tell you of the last time I have went to a movie and had a pleasant experience from start to finish.
The movie had everything that one could even expect from the BATMAN genre.
The plot and thrills make you wonder when was it going to end. For two and a half hours I was amazed and entertained on every level. I have to thank Warner brothers for their time enrgy and effort to amaze ME.

Movie was great. Bale still needs to work on the Batman voice, but overall he did a great job. The Joker was so sinister this time around, he was incredible. It might be tough for Ledger to get the award. Also I definitely don't see anyone being able to play the part in the future as well as he did.

Whenever I hear so much hype for a movie I'm disappointed as the hype is usually blown out of purportion. Not the case with Dark Knight. The Nolan/Bale team deliver yet again. I enjoyed all of the great shots of Chicago & watching the filming on LaSalle Street. The talk of Heath receiving an Oscar are way off. It was a good performance just not Oscar worthy.

This was an awesome movie. Kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Heath Ledger stole the show! I couldn't wait for another scene that he'd be in. He blew Jack Nicholson away as the Joker. He deservs an academy award and it's ashame we lost such a talented actor. Overall, the movie ROCKED!

This is not the kiddie version of Batman. It was a serious movie with a great story and a great villian. Heath Ledger played the part of the Joker as well as it can be done. The movie seemed a bit long, but was definately worth the time to see it.

I thought that The Dark Knight was incredible! Everything about the movie, including the story-lines for all the characters, the costumes, the batman weapons, the actors, their performances, everything was awesome. I see just enough movies at the theaters to appreciate what an accomplishment this movie was. It was fascinating that I actually felt a little changed when I left the movie...like it taught me something about sacrifice and justice. I think it will be a long time before I see another movie as entertaining as this one.

Wow. Very powerful performances and a completely rich storyline make this film easily one of my all time favorites. Heath Ledger. It has been said that there will never be an Oscar given out for a Comic Book Movie, but there needs to be. The man fairly blasted out of the screen with a far larger than life performance of The Joker. Nichelson was the first Joker, and therefore will always have our hearts. but Ledger captured our pounding hearts with his brilliantly acted slide into the depths of depravity and madness. His "Joker" was a new twist on an old character that showed us a side of "the human animal" rarely understood; the side of those that live life without consequences or possibility of reform. Christin Bale is as always, fineky defined as BatMan, and is no less impressive in this film. His chiseled features were somewhat of a shock, rendering him an even more "steeled" look as the Dark One we all have come to love. I didn't quite get whether he had a cold, or perhaps the mask caused a strange affected speech pattern, but it was noticeable in this film. He sounded unusually nasal, but it didn't mar his performance for more than a few moments. Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine, always the deeply loyal and focused characters could not have offered us more. And the ever effective Gary Oldman was nothing less than brilliant. I didn't even miss the old Rachel, because Maggie Gyllenhall's Rachel Dawes was cleverly portrayed and filled in every possible gap.
If you haven't seen this film, what are you waiting for? There is nothing about this movie that demands a matinee price. It is a rich and powerful performance by all involved!

Batman the Dark Knight really pulled out all the stops!!! Never have I seen a comic book movie so close to the actual comics! Not to mention Heath Ledger, really stole the show! Not only was his portal of the character amazing, it was accurate...and his acting was the only time in my life, I can say the character was so believable...I didnt even notice the actor...all I saw was the JOKER!! Twist and turns around every corner, which is something else that is hard to come by with a comic book movie, since most of the people already know the story! Not only was this the best comic book movie I have ever seen. It was the best MOVIE I have seen in a very long time....and I consider my self quite the movie going kind....

This was an incredible roller coaster ride of a movie with flawless performances by all of the actors. Heath Ledger definitely deserves a posthumous Oscar for his marvelously creepy interpretation of the Joker; however, his performance did not outshine the work of Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Morgan Freeman. I'll definitely be seeing this one over and over!

Awesome movie -- finally one that gets back the comic book Batman I grew up with. Batman with a darker steamier side -- the sacrificial good guy misunderstood and forced to be the do-gooder in the shadows whether he wants to or not. The many comic book profile shots the director did throughout the movie were reminiscent of true comic book illustrations, moody, dark and slightly sinister, yet provocative and portraying the deep emotion of the Bruce Wayne "behind the mask". Prepare to sit for a while as it's a long movie but worth every kernel of popcorn and every single sip of your freezy drink.

Over the years it seems as though the roles of both Batman and his foes have been altered to be less realistic (almost cartoony). This interpretation gives Batman human problems to deal with and difficult choices to make, and it also gives Batman a nemesis who is creepy for the same reason Silence of the Lambs was - believable insanity. Great movie! The best I've seen in a long time.
