Over the years I have gotten to the point where I go into a movie I want to see ready to forgive. Experience has taught me that the acting is going to be bad, or the writing, the plot, or directing will be weak. It is just a matter of odds, so if you want to enjoy a film you have to be willing to forgive.
I have to say I didn’t have to forgive anything about The Darknight. That was as close to flawless movie making I have ever seen. It blew me away!

The buzz on this movie was that everyone was concerned that it'd been so hyped up that there was no way it'd live up to its expectations - then, it was said that it'd actually EXCEEDED its expectations.
Well, after making the trip to the Cinerama theater downtown for a suitable screening, my opinion is that everyone's initial concerns were justified. It was entertaining, but I liked the original better. Heath Ledger did okay, but I certainly don't think it was an Oscar-award winning performance. All of the performances were really just going through the motions, and the movie was largely just the gadgets and the action.
No big character development, or emphasis on any of the interpersonal relationships, etc, it was just another action movie.

This movie was much different from the other Batman movies. The title properly fit the theme. Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker was incredibly realistic, much more so than others who have played the Joker in the past. Sorry Jack! The special effects were awesome! I would highly recommend this movie to anyone who is at least 15 years or older. It was borderline pg-13/R. Remember to bring popcorn, it is suspenseful and very unpredictable.

I went to the midnight showing of the Dark Knight and I had a great time. The movie was great. I never got bored while watching. Heath Ledger was a funny yet disturbing Joker. This is one movie you should see this summer.

Heath Ledger gives a stunning performance as the Joker in his final role. Don't be surprised to hear his name mentioned at Oscar time. I'm already anticipating the next installment of the Dark Knight. The PG-13 rating is a bit misleading. Younger children and some teens will find the intense violence too much to handle. This movie probably should have been given an R rating.

I was really excited to see this movie and went to the very first show on Saturday. It seems like the movie could have ended several times. It just kept going and going. It was visually impressive, but the plot was so heavy and hard to follow most of the movie. The fight scenes were just to confusing and I got tired of the Joker about half way through the show. Heath Ledger was good...but not Oscar good!

This movie was not anywhere near a disappointment and could have not been any better, i have seen it twice and plan to see it again. Heath Ledger and Christan Bale were amazing as were the other actors and actresses.

For a comic book movie, the plot was very involved. This could have easily passed for a great crime-suspense movie. I enjoyed it greatly. It blows away all the Spider Man movies and is probably the best movie this year.

The Dark Knight brings out Hollywood's best.. The plot, action, special effects and acting were absolutely phenomenal. I believe this movie is a prime example of how a great storyline and amazing effects can combine to create a visually stunning and emotionally engaging experience. If every movie made was this complete and this entertaining I would never leave the movie theater.

Simply excellent! It was flawless. The acting was superb. In fact, I consider the Dark Night better that the prequel. Heath Ledger did not disappoint his fans! And, as far as Christian Bale goes, he is the best Batman so far.
