Imaginative and innovative film making. Technically, it sets the standard for 21st Century movie making. The 3-D is extremely realistic. On top of that, it has an excellent script and very solid acting.

I dont think that I have ever been to a movie where I wanted to buy it even before the movie was over. The graphics were just incredible and the story line was really outstanding. The movie is so ingageing that you dont want it to end. Now I didnt see this movie in 3D because if the glassed didnt work then I was stuck watching blurrs and I loved it in 2D but will go back and see it in 3D now becuase you can see where this will be a movie that will make you feel free and like you are flying, it is just incredible. TWO THUMBS UP!!!!!!!!!!

The 3-D and cinematography in this movie is amazing! The coolest experience I have had a the theater ever! The plot and the characters are very good as well but they are overshadowed by the visuals. James Cameron is a cinematic risk taker, and it seem to always pay off.

But if you have a good imagination + compare it to the real world its relistic. i dont think any1 was trying to make US military soldiers bad evil + the fault of anything but just the whole human race itself not appreciative towards the beuty + importance of nature. humans cut the trees kill animals their homes they r the ones destroying our world. you cant take the movie the wrong way its excellent if you let your self enjoy it love nature and love LOVE . everyone would do anything for their familly and home ..no? i know i would. it was the best movie ive seen in a lonf time

Loved the crystal clarity on the computer animation. Everything was great except the bad guys were US military. I think they should have left politics out of it. I didn't feel like cheering when our service men were killed. Our enemies would give this movie a 10..i'll have to give it a 9

I loved this movie so much. The hues of color on Pandora really made me feel as if I was walking in the woods. My husband, who hates any type of science-fiction movie, enjoyed the movie so much that he wants to go back to see it again. James Cameron really pulled out all stops when he produced this film and Kudos for Zoe, Segourney, Stephen, Sam, Michelle and all the other actors. The idea to afford a disabled marine the opportunity to walk again was a fantastic concept. I cheered for him when he took his first steps and subsequent leap. Way to go!

I was so engrossed in this movie from the moment it started that I didn't realize I'd been sitting there for almost 3 hours. I haven't been this excited about a movie since Star Wars (4). The graphics are incredible and it is just a beautiful movie. I've seen it twice - IMAX 3D. It went by faster the second time. I don't think I'd want to see it again if it weren't IMAX 3D but I definitely want to see it again. I've never gone to the theater to see a movie 3 times. I've recommended this movie to several friends already..

Avatar is the most visually stunning movie of all time. It has a very common story, which isn't amazing, but the visuals make the entire movie. The world and environment is completely believable and absolutely breath taking. I highly recommend this movie for anyone who has not seen it yet.

Left the theatre feeling as though I had had a great experience. The story was uplifting, the action was realistic, and the 3D was awesome. Parents should should screen this before allowing their young children see it, as it is very intense.

This was a good movie, but not a great one. The special effects were cool, but not "Oh my God!" great. The story line was well-executed, but in no way original - just a new take on the evil military/industrial complex exploiting nature and killing the harmonious indiginous population. All in all, a good afternoon's escape, but that's it. Have no clue why it got a Golden Globe, except for its politically correct message.

Absolutely visually stunning, creative, gorgeous movie. I loved the love story. The problem is the incredible hate it directs to the military. Hollywood is so out of touch with reality that it thinks our military is a bunch of stupid, war-crazed robots. That really drives me crazy!

Avatar was original in it's viewing. However, it had a rediculous amount of swearing. I had three thirteen year olds with me who felt the same way. I was unsure if I felt the story line was fully developed. Loved much of the scenery and story.

it is a great concept and i liked the dances with wolves theme although unoriginal. but the animated form kept me out of the movie. i would have preferred that they used actors with spfx make up and animatronic creatures. the animation automatically makes it unreal to me. . . because it is unreal.

This movie is getting so much hype and making so much money that I had to see it, but wish I saved my $ and waited until the DVD release. The best aspect of the movie is that it is visually stunning but the story seems old (same as Dances with Wolves), jumps around a bit, and is too long. It hurts me that it surpassed Star Wars which is truly original and far superior in characters and storyline.

I thought this movie was spectacular - the visual effects were by far the best I have ever seen. I remember when I first saw Star Wars and Jurassic Park - I was impressed with the visuals, but this movie beats them both. Good storyline - at no time did my interest lag. I couldn't believe the movie was over 2-1/2 hours - time flew by. I would recommend this movie to everyone - right wing, left wing, old, young - it was just a really good movie!
