I absolutely loved the movie and highly recommend it to Star Trek lovers. Each actor was perfectly cast and they couldn't have done a better job of portraying their characters. I definitely look forward to the next movie/storyline continuation. Beam me up, Scotty!!!!!!

This movie is the best scifi movie EVER! I've seen all the Star Trek movies and loved them, but this is the best one yet! The action and special effects are so realistic and the actors made the old, well-known characters their own. I would see it again (my husband saw it twice and would see again also). I hope there's another one in the plans!

Very good movie. Although none of the actors look much like the original actors, except for Zachary Quinto as Spock, I went in with an open mind and found that I really enjoyed it. It has a good plot and story line and the cast acted the roles very well.

I went to see this movie not expecting much. I'm not a trekkie fan, but have seen some episodes of Star Trek TV series before. This movie was so good that I was happy to see it on the big screen. The special effects were great. The storyline was original. Acting was superb. I enjoyed it very much.

I've been a star trek fan for over 30 years and I loved this movie. I went into it the first time expecting to hate it and ended up loving it. Having the time travel element in it helped me except the changes made to the charactors.
I liked everything about this movie. It was very well written. The plot held my interest and the actors who played the main charactors [Kirk, Spock,McCoy,Pavel,Sulu,Uhura and Scotty] were fantastic especially zachury quinto as Spock. He nailed it !!!! So I strongly recomend this movie to anyone who likes a good well written Sci-Fi movie.

This movie was great. I've been a fan of Star Trek since the original. I loved how they reinvented the Star Trek Universe. It's like starting over again. I really enjoyed this. They did a great job of matching younger actors that could realistically have grown into the roles on the original series. It was great to see Leonard Nimoy in this also. I enjoyed the interaction between him and Kirk as well as the younger Spock.

I am a little late reviewing it, but I am sure it will do well in the video circuit. It was better than most of the series that we have seen. There was a good story line and the characters had reasons for their actions. The cameo by "Spock" was okay .I can see this new generation providing us with new stories for years to come. The movie is good ,entertaining and well-thought out.

Ive seen all of Gene Rodenberry's star trek movies & as memory serves me this one is the best.I loved how they developed the characters... it was so easy to follow and get personal chuckles out of this movie as the characters once again grew on you. I couldn't believe I was getting into the characters so easily! I thought for sure I'd be comparing this and shooting down that but I did not even think about it as this movie took me along it's course(plot) gotta see it again soon!

Though I love sci-fi, I have never been a fan of the Star Trek series...until now! The story was well written and the character choices were great. This movie kept me on the edge of my seat, wanting more. The script was very well written and made it possible for life long trekkies and new comers alike to follow along easily. As costly as it is to spend an evening at the theater these days, I would gladly go to see this film again!

This new Star Trek universe is so much fun and so well balanced with the one I have known and loved and grew uip with that it is realy hard to say much more than I loved it!!! I walked out of the theatre wanting to go get another large popcorn and large drink and go see it again. I was so rowdy with excitement the first 20 min of the movie my wife finally had to put her hand over my mouth to get me to settle down. There will be some who will argue that it isn't the "pure" Star Trek original. That it deviates from the past and facts anf figures set up by the originals history line. So what? They neatly and Logically (according to TWO Spocks) why it had to be that way. I, for one, and eagerly awaiting a sequal.

Wow! It's refreshing to see someone take the series by the horns and shake it up. If you think you know the history and mythology of "Star Trek," you will be challenged from the very beginning to find that thread. When I read "Midsummer Tempest", there was a point at which I realized that trains and railroads did not belong in Elizabethan England - that I was living in Poul Anderson's world, not my world. Eventually everyone (some sooner than others) will have a similar realization while watching this movie and will find themselves at the dawn of a rich, new mythos. Hereafter, we all have the opportunity to do it again, fresh; but this time under the best possible conditions: We already know what's "supposed to happen."

My 13-year-old was an ironclad Junior Jedi until I took him to see this movie -- now he's Captain Kirk, and I'm the coolest mom ever because I pretty much memorized every episode of the original series when it first came out. Took him to see it a second time over the long weekend, and we both loved it even more this time around!

It was really good, the opening scene was jaw dropping and stunning. Doc McCoy was great! He was the most accurate depiction of the original characters. Young Spock was the next. It was really good, and it is technically a sequel to all other Star Trek Movies, watch Back to the Future to learn how time travel works.

I went to see this movie as my husband wanted to see it. I figured I'd have to sit through two hours of something that I wasn't at all interested in. However, after about the first 10 minutes I was having a great time. I actually really liked the movie and am looking forward to the sequel.
