I went to see this movie because I've always enjoyed Jennifer Garner. I've always thought Mathew McConaughey is a jerk and somewhat the playboy that the character portrays. The last and only movie he's done worthwhile - was his role in 'Armistad'. Much to my surprise the movie - even with him was quite touching. If we hadn't had to go through the first 30 minutes of his character's playboy idiocy, the movie would've been really good. There were absolutely some very touching scences. The movie was pretty good.

I went to this movie with two of my girlfriends. We all really enjoyed this movie, even got teary-eyed in a couple spots. The was one guy in the whole theatre full of women of all ages. I especially liked how they stayed true to the Christmas Carol story (ie the Ghost of Girlfriends Future never spoke). Michael Douglas was awesome as the "Jacob Marley"- type character. I liked the character Keiko and I wish she appeared a little more often. Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner have great on-screen chemistry. Matthew is really funny, "Is it Christmas?!" [after the ghosts are done teaching him the lesson] Kid shoveling snow, "No, it's Saturday!"

This movie has moment that make you laugh, and moments that make you go, aw, how cute. Matthew McConaughy and Jennifer Garner are paired perfectly. It is a nice spin on a classic tale, and a good romantic comedy. While it's not the best movie I have ever seen, it did not disappoint me. The chemistry between the cast members worked. It was good to see Michael Douglas playing such a ladie's man and Matthew McConaughey was totally believable as his nephew. I will buy this on DVD.

Gigolo finds his soul with the help of three ghosts who show him what he has been missing out on in life, namely all the love around him. There are some truly funny scenes in this movie, including a mentally defective and enraged bride-to-be and Michael Douglas playing a Hugh Hefner like character. This is a good date movie that a guy will also enjoy--I did.
