McConaughey is finally becoming a believable actor. He handles his role fabulously and bring us around with him into various stages of his life. He shows us what a love can be between brothers. He also shows us how misdirected our lives can be by wrong influences early in our lives. Jennifer Garner's natural beauty is breath taking. Her acting has always been first class. It's good to see Michael Douglas in any role as he is an actors actor and breaths life into his roles.

This was a bad choice in movies for Matthew and Jennifer. I hardly go to the movies and I thought a "chick flick" with my sister would be a nice reason to get out of the house. I think they are both great actors, but what happened to them? Why did they choose to do movies that might ruin their career? I am sorry that we wasted $24 on this movie. I should have just gone to Old Navy and bought some clothes instead. I think Michael Douglas was pretty funny (the only one that was funny), but not worth the price of the movie. Bottom line.... rent it.

My daughter and I went to see this movie just to kill time due to a rain delay usurping her softball tournament. Instead, this movie nearly killed me. Cause of death: boredom!!!
There are a lot of big names in this movie for it to be so bad. I seriously considered chalking up my losses for the overpriced admission tickets and popcorn and just leaving but it was raining torrents outside.

Jennifer Garner is really cute and great fun to watch in any movie. Matthew McConaughey had two or three good one-liners. But beyond that this movie was painfully bad, hard to sit through and a complete waste of time. I wasn't expecting much from a romantic comedy take on a Christmas Carol anyway....but it was worse than I thought it would be. Where did they find the rest of the cast (bridesmaids, groomsmen and ex girlfriends?). Strange strange casting. The only redeeming performance was McConaughey's assistant. Go Noreen!

I would not tell anyone to go see this movie nor buy it when it comes out on DVD. I was very disapointed in it! It dragged on and at some parts was rather boring. I went with my wife to this movie and I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. It had a good mix of comedy and romance to satisfy any woman. Funny LITERALLY, period and END OF STORY! LOL. Anyway, McConaughy is EXTREMELY hot and possesses this special "charm" to him or something of that sort. I also think that Jennifer Garner was ah-mazing on 13 Going on 30. Classic! very talented at acting, that girl, too. I took my wife to see this movie and she loved it! I thought the plot of the 3 ghosts was silly and unbelievable but the movie did have some very funny scenes in it. The movie was fairly typical of most "chick flicks"--sweet yet predictable. I do agree with others that the movies was pretty good and had some funny parts but was definitely NOT the best work for any actors involved. If your girlfriend or wife went with you to see Star Trek fellas.....treat her to this one, she'll like it.

I felt the movie had an extremely slow and boring start. However it got rather interesting when the ghosts started to come. Jennifer Garner and Mathew McConaughey's relationship was sweet as well as humorous.

This movie was definitely a just for fun movie. The whole spoof of three ghosts visiting has been used many times. If you go into the movie knowing this you should really enjoy the comedy that accompanies it. Great fun movie.
