Not a big fan of comic books, but a huge Audi Fan. The movie actually trumped Audi's role...even for me. Robert Downey Jr. was awesome....cool role. The action scenes are very entertaining and it doesn't go for the heart-warming stories like Spiderman...or the dark obscurity of a Batman movie. Its easy to relate to this story eventhough the technology is far-fetched. A must see for anybody that likes action. Catch the video interviews with Jon Favreau regarding the use of the Audi R8 and Q7 in the action sequences.....the stunt technicians had a hard time creating stunts with both cars because they are so darn safe!

I am always a bit trepid when going to a moive based upon a comic book. The plots are not always the best and few remain true to the original.
This one was good. Good story, good acting, Downey was great as usual.

As a long time comic fan I am used to disappointment. Thankfully Iron Man is a mile a minute thrill ride with a solid story supporting it. Downey’s portrayal of Tony Stark is dead on. A perfect blend of captive story, amazing acting, special effects, action, drama and humor. I don’t hesitate to say the best comic movie ever made.

Robert Downey Jr. IS Iron Man! Cannot fathom anyone but Downey in this film. Mr. Downey gives the performance of a lifetime. Superb direction as well. Run to see this movie. It is sure to become a classic.

I didn't expect much from this film, and Boy, was i surprised!!! A TV. spot (namely the Tank vs. Iron Man scene) seemed too fake to my taste, but it was obviously enhanced later on, because on the theaters that scene looks awesome..
The cast was great, the effects beyond my expectation, the pace was perfect and the ending was a rule-breaker.
I am not very familiar with the comic, but I noticed that this film laid out TONS of roots for future Marvel films, we know that in the upcoming Hulk movie Tony Stark/Downey will make a cameo, trying to start a link between Marvel films, something that has been on Marvel's minds for some years now, let's hope it works... DC, is trying to do it with Bale and Routh reprising their roles as Batman and Superman for a Justice League feature.
There's a lot of Marvel references: S.H.I.E.L.D.,War Machine, and the ending I think would a base for the "Civil War" Marvel's storyline... just to name a few...
A few years back "Batman Begins" reset the rules for a great superhero movie and gave us a great guideline, as previously did the first X-men movie, unfortunately later films failed on some degree to match the formula (Fantastic Four)now Iron man retakes the challenge and actually puts the game on a higher level, let's hope "Dark Knight" and "The Incredible Hulk" can keep up...
A movie well done from the start... and all the way until PAST the credits ; )

It was another successful Marvel Movie. Packed with action and great storyline. Can't wait to see what is in store for Terrence Howard as War Machine. Great cast ensemble; considering that I have not seen them collaborate together before. A great experience for the entire family ages 5-95.

Ironman was worth the $ spent. I took my godson and a friend of his, we all enjoyed the movie. At first hearing that Robert Downy Jr. was playing the part I said " No Way" but after seeing him play Tony Stark / Ironman (Bravo) We will be wait to see Robert Downy Jr in the sequel.

At first I wasn't interested in seeing this movie. However, my husband did want to see it, so I went along. We were so impressed by this movie! I don't read comics, so I didn't know anything about Iron Man. But the plot and story were so good at developing the character that it didn't matter. Plus the action and special effects were fabulous. And all of the actors were amazing. We had so much fun watching this movie that I would recommend it to everyone.

I really felt that Mr. Downey Jr has made a come back from his negative life a new!! He made Mr. Stark so real and so emotional correct that the movie was a mega hit!!!!
Being a Marvel comic fan and a Downey Jr fan, the creation of IRON MAN was the __it!!!!!!
I recommend it to everyone of all ages and I will go see it again before this week is over.

After seeing this smart and brilliantly-played flick, it may be safe to say that "Iron Man" has raised the bar in what we've come to know as the 'comic-book blockbusters.'
With top-notch performances, stellar special effects, and, oh, a science-backed plot that could almost be accepted as pure reality, this movie does not disappoint.
Only now can we see how cheesy the "Spider-Man" movies, the predominant messiahs of the Super Hero genre, really are.
With that fact in mind, we anxiously await the Second Coming of Iron Man.

I went to this movie expecting the usual shoot em up action hero stuff. It had plenty of that plus the characters actually had great realism and Robert Downey was so FUNNY. I really really enjoyed this movie. Girls and Guys will both love it. GO SEE IT!

This movie was great all around. The story line was original but stayed loyal to the comics, and Tony Stark was cast perfectly with Robert Downey Jr. The special effects were outstanding as well. A Must-See movie in my book.

Marvel has done it again! I have been waiting a while for this one and it was definately worth the wait! Robert Downey Jr was the perfect choice for the lead as Tony Stark. The action sequences were superb and well executed. I can't wait for the sequal. If this movie is any indication, this is going to be a great year for movies!

As with any good movie a good story is needed. Iron Man does not disappoint in this area. The story of Tony Stark's change from a life of hedonism to a life of purpose that is focused on helping others supports the excellent special effects. While a little formulaic the movie is very entertaining and action-packed. A couple of scenes with questionable content made me cringe a little but overall the directors kept the movie clean. I am not a Robert Downy Jr. fan but he was the right choice for this role. Jeff Bridges as the villain was a great choice too. The digital presentation is highly recommended. It is like watching a giant HDTV.

See this film on the big screen! I plan on getting the DVD when it comes out, but there is nothing like seeing the red and gold suit on a movie screen. The special effects were done without sacrificing the details of the action scenes.
Plenty of great one-liners throughout. It is one of the best comic book movies - Tony Stark does the transition from egotisitcal playboy to caring superhero with all the requisite steps between. This promises to be one of the best summers for action movies and Iron Man starts off the season with an explosion of eye-popping fights and solid story-telling.

I thoroughly enjoyed IRON MAN. Robert Downey Jr. personified Tony Stark in every way; just as Michael Keaton did in the first BATMAN film. The chemistry between Gwyneth Paltrow and Robert was natural. The use of the Middle East was tastefully done. The effects were great. In short, go see the d-mn movie, you’ll love it.
