I just watched IronMan yesterday. I know it has been in release for quite a few weeks now. I thought it has a good story line, I'm not that familiar with the comic book character. This film was great. I would recommend it to young and old.

Iron Man was amazing in all aspects...kudos to Marvel Studios for a great summer movie. Robert Downey, Jr. is well cast as Tony Stark and adds some humor to the story. The only disappointment was waiting for the lengthy credits to finish rolling for the last minute teaser but it was well worth waiting for...

This is one of Robbert's Jr's best work, his own personality was mad for this part, His own attitude fits IRONMAN to a tee. This has to be the blockbuster of the year. I have gone to see this movie 4 times, and may go back again. I recommend this movie to every one of all age's.

This is the most enjoyable movie I've seen in a long, long time. That is what compels me to write one of these things (never done it before). Wow, wow! I have always loved Robert Downey Jr. and am thrilled to see a perfect role for him that wil surely gain him the respect and success some others enjoy that are not half the artists! Of course Jeff Bridges was flawless as usual - I totally hated his character!

It took almost a full hour of backstory to get Iron Man rocking. But, Robert Downey Jr was fantastic! The story line was not too complicated, but appeared to do justice to the comic genre!

Good movie, kinda corny, but thay had to make it still follow the comic, so that was expected.
I think thay spent alot of time introducing the story and not enough time of actual action. I still believe it was a good movie, and i am looking forward to a sequel.

Iron Man is an exciting adrenaline rush. Some describe it as this years Predator. Iron Man delievers very intense action that really get your blood pumping!!! Iron Man not only contains some action, it also really good. That is a surprise because some Marvel films like the Punisher and the hulk (2003) were terrible. On second thought, take out the punisher on that one. The Punisher was an amazing film and contained a lot. These days, movies are getting extremly violent. Iron Man is somewhat. It has 1 torture scene, intense sci-fi action violence and a shor scene of genicoide similar to the 2008 Rambo. My last words are, Iron Man is worth seeing. 3 1/2 stars.

The story and development of Ironman was great. Pepper Pots was a great character, counter to Ironman!!!! I wish we could have seen the suit in action sooner in the film....Cant wait for the sequel

Great movie to see on a big screen! Good mix of characters, story, heart, and fantastic effects. I wish Pepper Potts had been given more character material, but Gwyneth did her best with what she had. Hurrah for the 40-something hero! Robert Downey Jr. is a great choice. Stay until the end of the credits.

It was a fun flick but consider the PG-13 rating carefully. Younger kids could be scared by the excellent special effects and realistic appearance of the mayhem depicted in this film. Of course, these are the reasons why we older kids go to see movies like Iron Man.
Robert Downey was perfect as the somewhat egocentric (ok, he was completely egocentric) Tony Stark. Gwyneth Paltrow was the perfect administrative assistant for the eccentric Stark. Plus, she looked great! Jeff Bridges was appropriately slimy but I won't give away the plot and say why. Terrence Howard was your basic decent guy and friend of the hero. His role in the military gave him a bit more clout than the usual "loyal friend" but that worked out all right in the end..
The stereotyping of the villains was a bit predictable considering our current geopolitical situation. Tony Stark's forced awareness of world conditions was handled pretty well.
What I didn't expect were the elements of humor that kept popping up in the course of the movie. There were some cute moments between Downey and Paltrow which helped keep the characters interesting. Downey's final line in the movie was perfectly in line with his somewhat rebellious character. If you want to know what it was, you'll have to see it yourself.

When i saw the commercials for this movie, i thought wow this might seem good, but when i went i was like OMG this movie is amazing! i never watch a movie more than once and especially in the theaters but this movie was so great that i went twice! it is amazing and on my top 3 for best movies ever watched. That's the kind of super hero movie you'd like to see more often. Nothing to say about the story, I'm sure it's not 100% faithful to the comic book, but it's still OK. Actors are just great, I love Robert Downey Jr, and he just fits for the role he's amazing. Same goes for Gwyneth Paltrow. Just the perfect combination of everything that makes a good action movie. I would like to say best super hero movie of 2008, but I have to wait for Dark Knight before I can say that.

I'm not a big sci-fi lover, but I found Iron Man very enjoyable. It has a slow beginning, but once the pace picked up I was glued to my seat. Also, the big fight scene was not endlessly drug out like Transformers.

Superb! Absolute WOW factor!
Story is very good, and the actors well-balanced. Downey Jr. is outstanding as Tony Stark. Very impressive.
Best part - the technology! The development of the suit and interaction between actors & technology was very exciting

This is a very well-concieved and executed film, and a standout not only among the many comicbook movies of the past couple of decades, but mass movie entertainment in general as well. The story is furiously paced, hooks into very current world events and issues, and is thought-provoking. Robert Downey Jr is a tremendous comedian who is also capable of nuanced acting; together with Gweneth Paltrow, the two of them form a hilarious and complex relationship; scenes are alive with improvised dialog that is unpredictable. The only thing that bugged me was the high level of product placements, which I found very distracting. Welcome to America. Anyway, I would gladly see it again.

Robert Downey Jr. was awesome in this role. The bit about weapons makers being evil was overdone, and of course, you can only eliminate weapons if there is a SUPERHERO to do it. But, though the premise was a bit cartoonish, the acting, effects, writing, direction were all very good. And to get back to the great adaptation, since this is a superhero movie the plot worked really well, especially with Downey's characterization.. I enjoyed this movie as much as any this year.

Very good acting. I had reservations about Robert Downey in this role but he nailed it. Jeff Bridges does a great job as well. The CGI - there are some great scenes but they are not the star of the show. Go see this movie!

Is it me, or are product placements getting more blatant. At least try to hide the placements... like when perrier showed through the glass doored refrigerator, but when a line is written into the script, or even more than a line... more like a scene all about the product it takes away from an otherwise flawless move.
Robert Downey Jr. looked better than ever and was at the top of his game. CG was fantastic.
Looking forward to a sequel.

This movie just didn't WOW me. And yeah, people are going to disagree but I was almost waiting for it to end. I think it was good but I would never buy it. I expected chills and thrills through the whole movie, but I got just some average wows. I would recommened this movie, but if your a real tough critic, then I suggest wait it out. I'm hard to please when it comes to action. Ever since I saw Cloverfield, well action movies gotta top that.
But bottom line is, it was good, but not enough to make my Top 3.
