Robert Downey junior nails the role of Iron Man. He is a joy to watch as he changes from a muti billion dollar playboy to a guy with a conscience. I highly recommend this to anyone seeking a fun well made film. The special effects are world class and the acting is good except for the one exception of Gwyneth Paltrow who is quite boring to watch. Otherwise a solid film..check it out.

Iron Man is great! It manages to deliver everything; a smart story, brilliant performances, action and special effects glalore, intrigue, betrayal, laughs, slapstick, explosions, hot cars, flying, zapping bad guys, Style with a capitol S...and even a bit of romance!
All tightly packaged and fluid to give you a thrilling ride from the opening scene to the end credits.
I went to see it with my 3 daughters, we all loved it and just want to go see it again!
Go see this movie!

Iron Man, the story of a weapons manufacturer who builds a special kind of suit in order to escape from a prison facility. That suit quickly transforms into an even more advanced suit in order for him to save lives. This movie is an excellent choice if your going for hardcore action. It starts a little slow in the beginning but the rockets off. with a climactic battle at the end, this movie earned the full five stars from me.

Its was close to being the best movie I've seen this summer. The only thing that holds it back is that at some point through the film I started to realize how uncomfortable my seat was, meaning it got slightly too technical for me and I was bored. but if you can get through that down part, the rest of the film saves it. The beginning is awesome, middle a little slow, ending is GREAT! Worth seeing for sure.

Awesome! Robert Downey, Jr. is still one of the best actors ever, and Terrence Howard, Jeff Bridges, and Gwyneth Paltrow were great too. I'm sure the CG was stunning, but it fit in so well I'm not sure where it began - I really believed in that suit!
My husband saw it first, and liked it so much he went again to take me. He said he enjoyed it just as much the 2nd time, and he doesn't usually see movies twice.

great special effects, Robert Downey Jr was great. funny, sad with the presence of the war in Afghanistan, too bad there isn't a real Iron Man to go in and save the day over there

This movie is very action packed and is very funny. There are parts of this movie that had me very interested in what they were trying to do. I think that this movie was way better then the movies "Spider-man" 1,2,3. They were all good movies but "Iron Man" out does them all. Thats why this movie is one of the best action movies of all time.

Iron Man wasn't my on my radar as a great Marvel super hero - until now. The special effects and graphics were outstanding and the writing was much better than I have come to expect from Hollywood. Of course Robert Downey stole the show - giving us James Bond cool American style and with his delivery of lines like "let's face it - this isn't the worst thing you've caught me doing." It was well worth staying up to until 3am to catch the midnight show.

A terrific thrill ride, great cast, special effects are top notch, storyline is somewhat predictable, but still well done with Bridges cast well as the bad guy, Paltrow looks great and fits her role and Terrence Howard is very smooth as Downey's Air Force buddy.........The action sequences keep you on the edge of your seat, the subtle humor works well......Probably the best role of Downey's career.....An excellent couple of hours of good entertainment!!

but seriously, she was great in this movie. Iron Man, oh yeah...Robert Downey is terrific as the billionaire/playboy/superhero. nice forward thinking in this and recent movies, hinting at other comic book character potentials.
so, my only knock on this movie, is they only used Black Sabbath's Iron Man once in the whole movie....not cool. what a great opportunity to jam it!
bottom line, I give this movie 5 stars

This movie was very entertaining. Lots of action and good story line. I didn't even like Robert Downey Jr. before this movie, but I do now . . . character pulled you in. Great supporting characters as well: Jeff Bridges and Gwyneth Paltrow were awesome. I can't wait for the next movie . . . I'm sure there will be one:-)

I had very high hopes and my hopes were exceeded. Great cast, story and production. Plenty of action, gee-whiz effects and tech toys. As good or better than the original Batman or Spiderman movies. See it while it is in the theater.

My 13 year old son wanted to see this movie and originally I figured, what the heck...but WOW! I really loved it and and would'nt mind seeing it again real soon. Exciting, adventerous and even a bit sexy (although not overly so as I did take my 6 year old too). FABULOUS!

Great movie!!! The porducers and director did an outstanding job following the basic storyline (although some modernization was necessary--Afghanistan for example--to appeal to the modern day viewer). Like a prior reviewer stated, don't expect reality, just come for the show!! Downey Jr., Paltrow, and Daniels all did an outstanding job!!!

If you are a Sci-Fi/action movie fan, this is a must see film. Great music, great effects/CGI, a somewhat simple straightforward storyline. Yes the effects is much like Transformers, although Transformers seemed much more complex.
Robert Downey Jr was great... Gwyneth Paltrow was sultry with that soft red hair (she should keep that look). Terrence Howard is a cant miss. Jeff Bridges was a surprise in the movie.

For those of us who grew up reading Marvel Comics it is exciting to see comic books come alive on the big screen.
Robert Downey Jr. Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrence Howard and Jeff Bridges are outstanding in their respective roles as are all of the characters.
The plot, dialogue, cinematography, direction, special effects and soundtrack are also awesome.
Jon Favreau is as great on screen as he is directing.
See it!

My daughter and movie going friend both told me - you have to see it - Robert Downey Jeff Bridges and Gweneth all put it together great ... it did not disappoint...a must see if one just loves to get away via a movie that grabs you from the opening moments...thoroughly enjoyable.

I'm not really an action movie fan, but enjoyed this one. Downey Jr., anchors the movie - what a presence. Also liked Paltrow as Pepper, though wish she'd been given more to do. Bridges didn't grab me. Tone was great throughout. I enjoyed not having too much action, but great action when it happened. Just a ride, but a pretty good one.
