I hate to say it, but move over Spidey and Bat Boy, but there is a new king of the action movies here for a while. Downey's Iron Man is wonderfully executed and introicately crafted from the inception of the character to the R&D that led to the production of the superhero. Bridges made a wonderful villain and he plays the role of slime-ball almost as if it was a life-role... who gets that task for the follow-up? I for one cannot wait to see how Iron Man is called upon by SHIELD in defnese of our country, but you can surely count I will not wait three weeks to see the next installment.

WOW! Now THIS was a great flick! Plenty of well-choreographed action with LOTS of sarcastic humor! The well-written story really plays to the actors portraying their characters. I did not find any moment that could be eliminated from the movie...non-stop thriller! Robert Downey, Jr. makes this movie electric, and he IS one of the greatest actors of our time. Already waiting on the sequel!

I thought this was a very good film. It was made without a ton a bad language, which was a refreshing change. There seem to be so many good films that would be so much better if the language were kept clean. This movie proves that beyond a shadow of a doubt. The "suggestive content" could have been done differently or left out all together, I didn't feel it added anything useful to the movie. All in all , however, I rate this movie an 11 on a scale from 1 to 10. It's one I plan on buying when it comes out on DVD and there aren't many movies I can truly say that about.

I didn't want to go see this movie at all. But I went with my daughter and son this was a great movie, I will recommend to everyone. I enjoyed it very much it has alot of action, and it is a good movie for the whole family. The best part was that my kids enjoyed it very much, as I did too. My 4yr. old and my 13yr. old had asked me to go see this movie, before it even came out. But take the whole family and enjoy everyone.

I was surprised to see this movie did so well. You never really know what your going to get when it comes to movies from comics. If you are like me and my unlce than you have followed the comic for the very first issue and know what the story should be. This movie follow the story to the fullest. One of the best yet. From the action to the storyline. Great movie.

I thought this movie had an excellent story line. While a few parts were somewhat predicatable, it was very interesting to see how the events unfolded.
Cudos to Robert Downey Jr. This was probably the best role I've seen him play.

This was probably one of the best comic book adaptations that I've ever seen! With the exception of the original Superman this was very clever, Downey captured a side of Tony Steele that you always thought but never saw, and the use of technology to bring the story current was great! This is a must see!! Both my 7 year old and I just loved it!!!

I have and continue to be a Marvel Comics fan. I enjoyed this movie for it's special effects. From an entertainment level, I found it very good. Enjoyed the action and battle scenes. I would recommend this movie to anyone who is a true Marvel Super hero fan.

Loved it just wish it was a bit longer and I want more more more of the action !! This movie could have been easily 21/2-3 hr long and the extra content could have supported the plot as well as more character delevopement. I am eagerly waiting the extend dvd version if am am lucky it will be released around Christmas.

This movie was excellent! Robert Downy Jr did an excellent job delivering witty and humorous lines. I was very impressed by all of the other actors as well. The story line was great. The only downside to the movie was that it felt like parts of the movie that were necessary for the story line had been cut. The editing felt a little choppy.
I didn't really now much about Ironman prior to seeing the movie. Luckily, I have enough people I know who knew enough to fill me in on the history.
It's great to see that another Stan Lee comic has been done justice.

It started a bit slow, but turned out to be a fantastic action film and definately one of the better comic book movies. I don't think Sam Jackson (even though I love him) should be in the credits because he wasn't in the movie but for the blink of an eye; I only recall seeing him in the scene after the credits. Robert was the perfect drunk to play the part of Ironman and I thought Gwen was amazing as Pepper. This is one I definately recommend seeing in the theater, even if you have like 4 crying babies around you like we did.

If you liked the Iron Man comic book you will enjoy the movie immensely. This movie was well written and cast surprising but excellent actors to portray the hero and characters of the comic book. Great movie! Robert Downey Jr. fit the part of Tony Stark perfect. Jeff Bridges is an awesome villain. Wish I would have seen Iron Man fight more arabs though. Why didn't Jeff Bridges have trouble flying like Robert Downey Jr. did??? He kicked Iron Man's butt, but overall very entertaining.

I was dragged along by the kids to see this and found myself enjoying this movie a lot. Great action, great graphics, great cliff hanger. (we stayed through the credits)
There were only a couple of plot holes but it may be something I missed. I hope there will be a sequel.
